not what I expected
Hmmmm, Hard to explain exactly what I think about this book. In it's totality, I wasn't greatly moved to action. The beginning of the book was pretty good...and as I worked my way through it, I found a few nuggets to hold on to. I ordered 2 thinking it would be a great gift....but after I read it, I decided to just donate the second book to a worthy cause. I think Compassion by Karen Armstrong might be more inspiring and informative for you. Kindness is totally worth the effort it takes to make it a habit. Good luck.

Choose Kindness
A concise discussion on the science of kindness and how important it is to practice kindness towards others and ourselves. There is a list of affirmations you can pick from to get started on the path to promote kindness and if you choose only one a day, the list will last longer than two weeks. A nice, quick-read for anyone wanting to live a kinder life.

Great Message
Very short (essay length) with good, basic ideas and great, supporting information. Easy, simple steps one can use to develop a practice of thinking to build kindness. A little preachy with some self promotion, it could go a little deeper but a quick, worthwhile reading.
