Failed 2nd use, but the seller did make it right.
Unit worked well the first time. I sealed several mylar bags. Difficult to manage heat but once you get it tuned correctly it was great. I went to use it a 2nd time about a month later and it seemed to keep heating up even though the dial never went above 4-5. After awhile I realized it was cooling down and I never got it to reheat. Tried resetting built in breaker. Adjusting temperature. Unplugging for awhile. I bought this unit because it looked like it was built like a tank compared to others and it was priced accordingly. This is an update to the review. The seller reached out to me and promptly issued a refund. I appreciate that service. I may try another unit as I was very happy with the performance until what I believe to be the control board failed.

This product is dangerous!!!
This product is dangerous!!! I bought this in March and I have been using this to seal my mylar bags. Normally I would use a setting of 4 or 5 and have no issues whatsoever. I loved using it until it started overheating. All of a sudden it started overheating, smelling like it was burning and kept tripping my GFI breaker. It is heating up so hot that I lowered the setting to 2 and it’s melting not sealing my mylar bags. It is a dangerous product and I would recommend you don’t buy this and go with some other company. I haven’t been able to contact the seller.I have enclosed a picture of where it melted my mylar bags on a setting of 1. It keeps getting worse I’m not even going to turn this on anymore

Solid purchase
Iam storing food long term in mylar bags. I have had no issues with it. For a 7 ml bag set the temp setting on 4 and let it warm up for 3-4 minutes and your all set. Close the sealer bars down for a 3-4 count and it makes a great seal.

Defective electrical
Tried to use this for the first time out of the box and it won’t even turn on. I plugged it into the wall outlet and turned the heat dial to 3. Neither the power light on the built-in breaker (that I also tested) nor the heat dial came on. The unit never heated up. I also checked the wall outlet and its breaker to make sure they were working properly and everything was good there. This sealer was packaged and shipped defective. Quality control what?!?Edit: Ordered another one of these to try again. New unit turns on and heats up. Tried a test on the included mini Mylar bag and it seems to have worked. Will be using for my real projects later today.

A big surprise when I receive the sealer!
The use book is super easy to understand. Once I set up every piece, I can start to seal so many things! I am trying to use it to make coffee bag and it helps a lot! There are multiple heat levels and we are allowed to choose. It takes only few seconds to change the heat level :)
