Supershieldz (2 Pack) Designed for Google (Pixel XL) Tempered Glass Screen Protector, Anti Scratch, Bubble Free

Google Pixel tempered glass screen protector was one of the first accessories I ordered as soon as I pre-ordered the Google Pixel XL from the Google Store. Tempered glass screen protectors are one of the essential accessories I like to get for every device if possible. This last year has been rather difficult to find good tempered glass screen protectors because many devices have some sort of curvature as part of the screen designs. Whether it's an edge screen like the Galaxy S7 Edge or bubbled curves like an iPhone 7. Therefore, companies have to shrink down the width a little to avoid the ghosting edges from the bubbled edge pushing against the tempered glass. Fortunately, I discovered a tempered glass screen protector that works rather well.For this review I am using the Supershieldz. I've used their product in the past and for the most part has been a good experience with any device used. Thus making them a company I recommend to try each time. This time around it is no exception. Long story short, this Google Pixel XL tempered glass screen protector work just fine. The Google Pixel XL has a slight bubbled curve on the edge of the screen, but Supershieldz managed to make an accurate cut with their tempered glass screen protector.As mentioned above the cut is accurate. The edge of the tempered glass screen protector comes right at the edge of the display. Therefore, not losing any view of the screen with an odd glare through the edge of the screen protector. Interestingly, HTC made the Google Pixel phones and the HTC 10 has a bigger bubbled edge and causes the use of a screen protector almost useless because of either a bad ghosting effect or the cut being to narrow.Installation was a breeze. Through the process of placing the screen protector down I had to lift it up once to realign the screen protector. After getting the proper alignment, the screen protector installed without any issues. The kit comes with everything you need for a successful installation. In my opinion the one works great, feels like glass, and is for a very low cost of $7.99 on Amazon. There are two tempered glass screen protectors included, which makes this a great value.

I really want to leave more of a positive comment but at this point, I can't. The packaging is really great and everything is there to get the screen protector applied. After the application is where my disappointment began. The screen protector is simply too small. I get that it's supposed to have a fit that doesn't get in the way of a case but it's still too small. It must be placed absolutely perfectly to simply cover the sides of the viewable screen. Mine also didn't completely seal to the edges leaving space for dust to collect. Obviously it's a bit unsightly and allows dirt to sit on the screen.The protector is very smooth and doesn't retain oils or dirt on the surface. It would be excellent if the previously mentioned issues we addressed.

I usually buy the cheap plastic screen protectors and have the people at the phone store install them because no matter how hard I tried I always end up with bubbles or dust underneath them. Never again. Since the accessories are so much cheaper here at Amazon I decided to try a new tempered glass screen protector. I'll never buy another plastic one again! The tempered glass protectors are so much easier to install yourself. I have no bubbles! These came with cleaning cloths and a dust removal sticker. I just cleaned my screen and ensured there was no dust on it, aligned the screen protector with the camera opening and the sides and set it down on one end. I then pushed it down from that end to the other and boom, I was done. It does just barely cover the screen on the sides but that is good since it doesn't interfere with the case I ordered at the same time as these. Just line it up properly and you're good to go.

The packaging was very nice and encased pretty well.The tempered glass was thicker than I expected or have ordered in the past. (The past screen protectors did a wonderful job protecting and was thinner) I do notice some decrease in sensitivity on the screen. Also because it's thickness, it's very pronounced that the protector is smaller than the screen (because of the bevel).Application was easy, but I really had to smooth out the bubbles a lot and the edges are still gaping a little bit (I am pretty proficient in placing these so this is a disappointing).Overall okay. I would probably by another screen protector and be really aware of the thickness.

I have to say, after suffering through several screen protectors for my Note 7, I am almost ecstatic over this one for my Pixel XL. Fit is almost perfect installation is simple and nearly idiot proof. Sensitivity is excellent. After several days of use I find myself most impressed with how easy it is to clean this thing. We all know that finger prints and smudges. They're inevitable. But I'm impressed by how easy it is to clean them. I'm not talking about using the included microfiber cloth and carefully cleaning the screen. I'm talking good old red neck wipe it once on my t-shirt and it's clean.The price is awesome and that's not even taking into consideration that there are TWO screen protectors in the package.I'm totally satisfied and highly recommend this protector

The first screen cover shattered under very minor pressure.The second screen cover installed easily. However, once installed it completely messed with the touchscreen. Touching the screen registered in several different places at once. It made texting and using any apps impossible. I had to remove it soon after installing it.I've installed many, many screen protectors over the year. Please go with a different brand.
