Fantastic reissue of the entry volume in a great series
I bought the new BlackCross/RedStar Volumes 4 and 5 back in late 2019, and I was highly impressed by the quality, both of text and print. Excellent research, lots of maps and high quality photos, colour profiles, all making this series a must for any aviation history enthusiast. I've often heard and read that the initial prints of Volumes 1 through 3 back in the early 2000s suffered from bad paper quality and small format but this is no longer the case. It's a solid, high quality hardcover book keeping a consistent format to the newly issued Vols. 4 and 5.I've only taken a quick glance through the book yet but everything is solidly organized, detailed references and quotations everywhere. My only gripe is with how this arrived - a hardcover weighing more than 2kgs placed for overseas shipment - I expected better packaging from Amazon than the standard cardboard covers. The packaging was bigger than the book so it was loose inside and obviously juggled around quite a bit during transportation, the result being damaged hardcover edges and damaged overlay on a luxury edition book costing more than 50 euro. Thanks for skimping on packaging, Amazon..

It explain a deeply unknown history
I think this serie of two books explain in detail a unknown history of the II W.W., a lot of bloody courage, the fight of some of the better soldiers of a country, a stupid high commando in exercise, etc. Is the " other side of the door" in the eastern front II World Air War
