O’Skool 2" x 3" Sanding Drum Kit for Drill Presses and Hand Drills

I've used this sanding drum several times, including for some heavy-duty bandsaw cut curves for a serving tray. It worked great and held up well. I've also used it for some quick touch-ups. As you can see in the picture, there is a ring around it in the middle of the spindle, and the bottom is worn more than the top. But because I can easily take the sandpaper off with a twist of the bolt, flip it, and put it back on to use the other half, this is not a problem. It really is easy to put the sandpaper on the spindle. Best of all, no specialty sanding drum paper is required. Great price, good quality, and it works!

It's taken my hobby to a whole new level. I liked it so much I bought a second one. Both of mine are perfectly round, unlike the little 1/2" Dremel drums. Try using a straw cut down the middle to hold the sandpaper (no more folding the paper). I'm using 320 and 1000 grit wet/dry paper, the straw makes it easier to load and gives me tight wraps. After the grit is gone, switch the paper around so you can use the other 2 inches. Works awesome on turning wine bottles into drinking glasses. Best edges I've ever made (8+ years of trying different techniques). Hand held drill is at full speed (2600 rpm according to Bosch), pottery wheel at slowest speed and of course, water.

Very surprised at how well this worked for over-sizing a pre-cut hole in plywood. the paper change is very easy and seems really secure. No issues at all with this plastic, but well made, sanding tool. Previous tools that I used for the same purposes were flap sanding wheels. This unit was much faster and left a better surface to the touch. Price is, maybe, just a wee bit higher than expected for just a round piece of plastic but it works so well that this is forgiven.

I bought a variable speed drill press and wanted a sanding drum that was more the 1.5" and this works well. It uses regular sandpaper (cut to size) rather than cylinders which works fine for me. I may try ang get a few other diameters but, for now, this works well enough and reduces much of my hand sanding.

It's worth the price, and as a bonus you can use regular sandpaper with it instead of having to buy replacement sanding drums. This is my first purchase from this manufacturer, absolutely won't be my last after I saw the quality.

Not as smoothe as I had hoped and a little cumbersome reloading it. But it does what I bought it for.

The drum came with a coarse grit sand paper. I had purchased sheets of 120, 220, 400, 600 and 1000 grit sand paper, cut them into 3” x 9” wide strips. They were easy to load and worked exactly as I had hoped. Easy to load and get tight around the drum. The only challenge for me was the finer grit paper ( 600 and 1000) tended to slip due to the thinner paper but to compensate for this, I was able to slide a piece of 120 grit paper around the inner spool. That solved my issue. I was polishing the rim of drinking glasses I was making from bottles and the 1000 grit really brought out the clarity. Also I slowed the drill press speed down to 1080 rpm. After polishing 6 glass rims, I would need to replace the sand paper. No biggie, paper doesn’t last forever when suffering that kind of abuse.

I bought a subwoofer box that had to small of holes how my woofer to fit in. This product saved the day
