I purchased 3 poles and added lanterns to match what I had on my house in several places. It looks fabulous!! They are made beautifully and add a very special look to my garden. I put them around my pond; at night, they add a lovely glow!

I have five of the lamps on my property. They are fairly easy to install - best by digging a post hole and setting the steel pipe that runs up the center of the lamp in concrete. I live in Florida and we frequently have strong winds - and these lamps do fine in the wind.

It had easy to follow installation instructions. The post is substantial and anodized aluminum with a coat of paint. The sleeve is heavy duty plastic and fits snuggly at the top and bottom of the post. We wanted an outside outlet (plug) which was installed without too much problem. All in all I would rate this a 5 star product.

Let me start by saying that I rarely give poor reviews. But I put a lot of time, effort and money into this lighting project at my home and I am not happy. First of all, the box that the post came in was ripped and there were rub marks and scratches on many of the corners of this post. I contacted Mayne, sent them pictures and told them that I needed to have at least the aluminum post installed within a few days and would appreciate if they could send at least another plastic part immediately so that I don't miss my deadline. They said since it was purchased from Amazon, it was their problem.The only option from Amazon was to send the whole thing back so I decided to live with the scratched post and get working on the install. I spent days installing the post and running wire to 4 different locations where I was going to put more of these posts. Thank God I didn't purchase all 4 posts at the same time because once the post was complete, we noticed that it was warped or twisted. The top narrow portion of the post was twisted or oriented differently that the wider bottom. I will insert pictures, although it is hard to tell from the pics what exactly I am describing. It is very noticeable in person though. I cannot return the post because I installed an electric outlet in/on the post and in the process, cut a small section out to fit the mounting box. If not for the twist and poor packaging resulting in scratches, the post would have looked very nice. I would not risk purchasing this again. Out of the box, the post looked strait, but once we slid it over the pole, it was clear there was a problem. One other area of concern is after you leave 2 and a half inches of the aluminum pipe sticking out at the top for mounting your light, there is only about 14 inches sticking out below the plastic for anchoring. To me, that doesn't seem like enough to properly install this. I hope this review helps someone.

These are wonderful..! Old solar lamps and posts needed replacing, aluminum cemented posts cracked, and solar lights were beat after almost 8 yrs.Bought 2 of these.Easy to install. Not flimsy as others have said, durable enough I believe to last yrs. Up close of course they look plastic but from a distance they’re wonderful. Added Gamasonic Baytown solar lights, some crushed stone around bottom since it seems like it could rotate a bit. Perfect !

The post is very well designed and easy to install. Once Installed it looks far more expensive than it is!
