El relato de la batalla de Stalingrad que hace William Craig se puede leer como un gran relato de aventuras. Una excelente prosa y una forma de narrar los acontecimientos que hace imposible dejar de leer hasta el final. La tragedia del 6 Ejercito con tanta gente joven a la tumba real y después en vida contrasta con su comandante Paulus que sin duda no supo afrontar el destino. Ni salvar al Ejercito saliendo del kessel cuando pudo ni afrontar su destino personal con la dignidad que se esperaba de su rango militar. Y por supuesto la brillantez del ataque ruso sobre el flanco rumano y todo el movimiento de la batalla está contado como si hubiéremos podido vivirlo. No creo que el relato de Craig haya varado mucho a la vista de los nuevos secretos desvelado y los archivos accesibles.

It is very complex, long and not much like the movie at all but if you are very in to world war 2 or want to know more about the war then it is very good and graphic.
