Great Quality Lamp Wiring Kit – Easy Assembly and Good Cord Length
The B&P Lamp Keyless Table Lamp Wiring Kit worked exactly as expected. The materials feel durable and well-made, and nothing felt flimsy during installation. Assembly was very straightforward, even for someone with minimal lamp-rewiring experience. Everything fit together properly and the rotary switch works smoothly. The cord length is generous and practical, making it easy to place the lamp without needing an extension cord. Overall, it offers great value for the money and is a solid choice for repairing or building a table lamp. I would definitely purchase this kit again.

Good wiring kit for the money
We used this to rewire an antique light fixture from my great grandma. I'm so happy that the light is now functional. The kit was complete and easy to use.

Good quality
Easy to install with basic electrical skills worked as advertised for my wife’s Grandmas Christmas light that hasn’t worked in years that she gave us before she passed. The kids loved seeing it light up again as it is very sentimental.

A plea from the amateur...
Let's start with: the rewiring worked, the lamp looks fantastic, and it was my first time rewiring a lamp--or ANYTHING. My last class in electricity was in 6th grade 50 years ago, OK? And I liked it that way. Then a domestic disaster involving copious amounts of black enamel paint poured into the bulb socket (don't ask) forced me either to rewire or trash an heirloom lamp. Ugh. It took me FOUR HOURS until I was satisfied that I'd done it perfectly and well enough to risk a current, but it worked. My one request to the manufacturer: PLEASE consider marking the wire tips to indicate which wire is which. I sure can't tell by the indicators in the directions or by any of the various YouTube hints. Rough/smooth wire? Ummm, no. I resorted to examining the plug for the large prong and carefully tracing the wire to its raw end--three times to be sure. It worked, but I wasn't confident about it. Anyway, I would buy this kit again especially because of the long cord, the nice finish, and the fact that the wires were already stripped. For those of you who know what you're doing, this would have been a 15-minute job. I received no compensation whatsoever for this review.

Gave my vintage lamps new life
This kit was exactly what I needed to restore my 1950s lamps. The colors matched the vintage wiring and socket well, and I feel much more confident about the safety of using these lamps with the updated wiring. Yes, I know the pic doesn't show the actual product, but dang aren't my lamps nice?

Ribbing in step 3 is on the plastic
Good product, confusing instructions if you’ve never done this before. The tricky part for me was step #3, which references a ribbed wire and a smooth wire. I figured out that the ribbing is actually on the black plastic coating of the wire, not the wire itself. If you have good eyes, or use reading glasses or a magnifier, you will be able to see that one side is ribbed and the other is smooth. I also had to Google how to tie a UL knot. From that knot diagram, I realized I would need to pull the two wires a little farther apart to have room to tie the knot, and that’s when I saw the very slight difference in the black coating of the two wires. Once I figured that out it went smoothly. The diagram references many parts that are not included and may or may not be part of your lamp, which was also confusing. My lamp didn’t have a harp and lacked most of those, and I did not need any of the included metal hardware. I ran the new cord up through the rod of my existing lamp, screwed the socket cap directly to the rod, tied the UL knot, attached the wires to the socket interior and placed it, and then the socket shell. So I used only 3 parts in the diagram after trying to figure out the 10 or so shown. First lamp took me an hour, the second was five minutes.

Good price, good quality, easy to install.
I ordered two of these to repair a set of lights. They worked perfectly for what I needed to do. They came with instructions that I felt were easy to follow and made it a very quick repair. The price was good and they arrived quickly. I would definitely order this item again in the future.

This is perfect for re-wiring an old lamp as long as the path from lamp base to neck is relatively straight or wide. Like other reviewers, I had trouble figuring out which wire was the ribbed neutral wire. I am a total beginner. The "ribbing" is vertical raised stripes down the edge of one side of the plastic covered wire. I stared, magnified, touched, and got a second opinion... finally used my tongue and that makes it more obvious which is the ribbed wire. The lamp works great now!

I ordered this kit as I’d never wired a lamp before and wanted an easy to assemble kit with everything I’d need, to lower the electrical risks. However when the kit arrived the instructions were for a different kit. They are also very minimal (1-2 paragraphs and 1 graphic). I thought they would walk me through the process in a comprehensive way. I have been unable to assemble the socket and therefore cannot use my lamp.
