RTG Shower & Tub Non-Slip Paint (Quart, Clear/Amber)

Shower base, very easy to apply after base was prepared. Looks like new!

I am a professional who used this on my mothers tub bottom so she wouldnt slip. I've had to re-apply it over and over but it starts to peal after 2-4 weeks. I had to go back to a rubber mat and deal with the constant drain clogging from this product.It actually applies easy as paint but the clean-up after pealing is a nightmare.

Does not bond at times with oil based paint that had been applied more than a year ago. Love the gritty surface in the tub once the paint dries, For us, the gritty surface is a good safety feature.b

I used this paint on the tub floor in our guest bathroom because our kids and grandkids are staying with us for the holidays. Little kids like to play in the tub and they’re not worrying about staying on the non-skid decals. We worry about them slipping and getting hurt. This paint rolled on easily, covered well, had no odor, and the surface looks nice and clean. Will be using it in our bathroom next.

I spent nearly three days preparing the surfaces in my fiberglass shower unit to apply this product (RTG Shower & Tub Non-Slip White Paint) to the floor for a non-slip surface. Following the directions closely, I used the recommended light grade grit sanding paper to "rough up" the surface evenly and thoroughly where the product was to be applied. Using a shop vac and de-natured alcohol with lint free wipes, the surface was then thoroughly cleaned of dust particles and allowed to dry. I masked the area to be painted with painters' tape about one inch above the shower floor for a professional looking finish. Following the directions (this product needs to be stirred well and regularly to keep particulate (grit) suspended in solution), I applied three coats of the product allowing approximately 2 hours of drying time between each coat. I let the painted area dry thoroughly for two days after the last coat. It looked great, it felt great, it lasted two showers and two large pieces of the non-slip finish flaked up from the middle of the floor. I then noticed separation and "curling" of the paint at the edges. Not happy at all. I wasted a great deal of time. Not using a water based polyurethane product for this on my next attempt.
