Deliciously Unique BBQ Seasoning from Chop House; Great for Steamed Veggies & Scrambled Eggs!
BBQ seasoning is great for steaming fresh vegetables and for sprinkling on scrambled eggs. I tried the Chop House Choice BBQ Seasoning and found it to be a very delicious, unique BBQ seasoning. My parents and I both enjoyed it. Normally, my parents don't remark on the quality of my steamed vegetables. Therefore, I was surprised to hear them both exclaim that the broccoli, carrots, and asparagus tasted good. I also sprinkled this BBQ seasoning on some eggs that I was scrambling for a late-night snack in a non-stick skillet. They tasted awesome. The only thing I don't like about Chop House Choice BBQ Seasoning is the odd packaging. The holes for sprinkling and pouring the BBQ seasoning are located on the edge of the large screw-off/screw on metal cap. I've never seen anything like it. It creates a mess; I have to wipe away left-over seasoning that has gathered around the edges of the holes. I wonder how much of the seasoning has dropped onto my kitchen floors and countertops. I try very hard to keep my kitchen clean. I don't want pesky bugs invading my home. Also, the seasoning arrived tightly packed inside a transparent bag that had been tightly stuffed inside the metal cannister. The bag contained more seasoning than could be safely poured into the cannister. (Remember, the holes are located on the side of the large, deep cap.) I stored the remainder inside the bag and placed it in the refrigerator. On a good note, the best by or expiration date is located on a tiny white sticker on the bottom of the cannister: SEP 9-15-23. This is a very good date. This BBQ seasoning will be gone long before then. Overall, if you like BBQ seasoning, then I highly recommend that you try the Chop House Choice BBQ Seasoning. The price ($16.00 at the time of this review) is reasonable, considering the high quality and taste of this gourmet seasoning. My only recommendation to the company is that they reconsider the unique, but impractical, packaging. The holes should be located on the top of the large screw-off/screw-on cap rather than on the sides. Then it would be a more perfect product.

Great seasoning for vegetables and meat!
This seasoning is very bold in flavor and taste great in roasted vegetables or grilled chicken. I love that it has all the spices I would add to flavor something but all in one jar. While the jar isn’t easy to pour out the seasoning, I would suggest using a small teaspoon instead.

This Is A Great Blend Plus I Really Like The Metal Tins For Storage
Review of Chop House Choice BBQ Seasoning | Gourmet Seasoning | Artisanal Spice Blend | 6.4 oz (181g) | All Natural | Non GMO | Small Batch | No MSG or Artificial Ingredients | Bougie BBQ | Gustus Vitae | #809 sold by Gustus VitaeReceived with a Best By date approximately 26 months from date of receipt. For first use I used this on more neutral chicken thighs as this gives me the opportunity to get a better feel for how well the spice mix actually tastes. I also start with a lighter amount as I can always add more in future uses.I greatly enjoyed the flavor that this imparted to the chicken thighs. The salt and sugar tastes were more subtle and the shitake mushroom seemed to come through pretty well. I did not consider this to be hot although I could detect the pepper (and I tend to use a lot of black pepper anyway).Gustus Vitae packages theirs spices mixes and rubs to be held in a metal tin with predrilled holes to use as a shaker along with a longer oval to dispense a greater quantity. The lid is easily removed and the opening is large enough that those that want to grab a pinch or two can easily do so. I greatly appreciate the feel of a metal container and being able to reach in when I want to apply this by touch really is a nice feeling. Might be harder to pinch some out when the volume decreases to below 1/3 of the can volume. Plus one can always reuse the metal container.

Wonderful blend of herbs and spices for grilled meats and roasted veggies
This is a wonderful butcher's choice BBQ seasoning mix. A hearty mix of herbs and spices. It smells nice and fresh out of the tin can. This mix is great on grilled meats and roasted veggies. It is savory and peppery but not hot. It is easy to use and adds a new depth of flavor to the meats and veggies. This mix comes in a little tin can packaged in a custom sturdy cardboard box for protection during shipping. The lid has a dispensing hole on the side which you can rotate to line up with the hole in the can and shake the contents out, or just open the lid and measure by the spoons. The quality of the seasoning is great. You can basically see the individual ingredients. No fillers and no preservatives.Overall, I love this seasoning mix. Wonderful flavor and savory spices. My bottle has a best before date of 26 months from now. The price is a little high but not unreasonable for the quality ingredients and the artisan mix. It is worth giving it a try. I can't wait to try this on grilled fish next.

Addictive, kinda like Montreal steak seasoning but
The only downside to this is that it comes in a bag with a separate can. Putting it in the can can be messy, and mine had a bit more in the bag than would go in the can. Best not to open the bag until you are ready to use some. This reminds me of Montreal steak seasoning, but it's a bit different too, and definitely has more heat. It doesn't make your food too hot, but the pepper flakes in it are potent. It differs from Montreal because it includes some sugar, less salt, and yummy unami shiitake powder.I tried some alone when first opening it, and kept wanting to eat it! It was salty and hot but rather addictive. I like it on steak. It's not so salty though that it will salt thicker cuts, so be prepared to add salt on thicker cuts. Good stuff.
