The High capacity weight limit

I have my Pelican Catch 110 sitting on them and they work great. Very durable and strong and good the kayak up off the ground. They are a perfect height as well so it makes it easy to lift the kayak on top of them. I would recommend!

After reviewing several of these, I went with this one because of the extra height. It's described as 22", but it's closer to 20"... and that's before I put any weight on it. 2) As others have mentioned, the assembly description is not for this rack since there are no rope limiters. The manufacturer should update the paperwork and include specific directions for matching up the legs. 3) We also needed to redrill some of the holes because they do not line up. 4) I do expect that it will do the job for my lightweight kayak, so I did give it 3 stars...otherwise, it 2 due to the preventable frustration at assembly.

As already noted by other reviewers, the assembly can be a challenge. The directions fail to state that there is a narrow and wide side to the legs that must match up with the same orientation on the support tubes. If you don't discover this, it will be impossible to assemble (unless you get lucky four times in a row) and I suspect the reason for the poor reviews. Additionally, I had one support tube missing the whole which the attaching bolt must go through. Fortunately, I have a drill press and was able to complete the machining, but anyone without one would be forced to return the item. I know these things are cranked out in some factory in China, so the quality control is going to be poor, so if you are looking for flawless execution, you are going to be disappointed. Do they work as advertised? Yes.
