UV Blacklight Flashlight - 51 LED 395NM - Scorpion Finder, Dog and Cat Urine & Stain Detector

I have 4 kitties, some of whom pee outside the box. I've heard blacklight is the only way to go to track down all the marks and clean it up for good. This flashlight does that. I'ts compact, lightweight and what it showed was horrifying! :) I would give it 5 stars, except for the fact there seems to be a short in it; it will dim/shut off on it's own while in use, if you tap it it will come back on. This happens all the time when using. It wasn't worth the hassle to return, but be aware of this problem.

Finding urine stains is no fun but if you really want to get rid of pests and vermin that may be harboring in your home or business then you need to get this light and prepare to be amazed. This light has 51 LEDs which means it is plenty powerful enough to illuminate a large space in one sweep. It is a lot easier to find stains this way then you might think. Just darken a room a bit or wait until after dark and then make a complete sweep of your space. I use chalk sometimes to mark spots that need cleaning or so I can remember where I found a trail. I did this at my own home and my mother's house and it has helped us eliminate the problems. No matter how clean you think your home is, a lot of older houses have a lot of spaces that vermin can get in and set up residence.

This is an okay blacklight flashlight. Sometimes it turns on, sometimes it doesn't. You sometimes have to mess with it a bit to get it to turn on. I'm giving this 3 stars because when it does work, it's incredibly strong, even with a bit of sunlight coming in through the windows. If it turned on 100% of the time, this would most definitely get 5 stars.

I work for a home cleaning business as a manager and we get called in after renters move out or if someone needs a home cleaned up to sell. I have to say it is amazing what renters can do to a place in a short period of time, especially if they have pets that are not quite on the bar with house training. This light is all each of us needs to check out a space and see where we need to concentrate our efforts as much. With a lot of clients being savvy to what UV light can show, we needs these lights so we can provide what they are paying for. In one case the owner was happy to actually find out that the renters had kept a pet without him knowing about it. He got to keep some of the deposit to cover our extra time that had to be spent cleaning.

This UV blacklight/flash light took a lot longer to arrive than any other items, and when it finally got to me it was with other items in a large box and that box had a hole in it. Maybe the UV light fell out & got stuck back in broken, I don't know, but the product came not working, broken.It did not come with any batteries or instructions for how to insert the 3 AA batteries in the complicated inner contraption either. I therefore took it to the Batteries + store to make sure my guess as to how all the batteries get put in and the flashlight gets put back together was correct, and he assured me it was. He even tried his batteries & finally figured out how to put the flashlight back together & it still didn't work, never even flickered or anything, product just arrived not working at all.What a waste of a half of a day on this thing. Makes me not want to use Amazon in the future. I am new here. What a hassle. Now I have to go get the label printed somewhere to put on the box it came in, pay return shipping, etc. And most importantly I won't have the product to use before Christmas when I am having my carpets cleaned. I don't have time for all this.Thanks a lot. :-(

When you do a lot of pet sitting accidents happen. Sometimes it can be hard to trace down where a stain or odor is actually originating from. This handy mid sized black light flashlight comes with a strong lanyard to prevent you from dropping it. The size is just right for all types of jobs and it sure lights up an area so we spend less time doing detective work and a lot more time cleaning and getting bedding and socializing areas clean as a whistle. I told our vet about this flashlight and I am pretty sure they are using this same one at their office now when they want to deep clean. I don't know why anyone would want to buy other lights that cost more and have less LED power. Thankfully this light takes AA batteries so no having to buy super special button batteries or anything like that.

It seems like a lot of flashlights now days are odd sized. I like the size of this light since I have pretty big hands but don't want to be carrying around a bulky old Mag Lite while checking ID. This light is bright enough to get the job done but is not blinding and annoying to those using it or having their ID checked out. If you want a light that makes a big impact at work then this is it. My friends thought I as lying when I told them it was all of $11 and the price of batteries. They had paid $50 for theirs and the handle was not made as good as the aluminum construction of this one. If you want a light for checking out home maintenance stuff then this is a good deal. Why waste money on overpriced ones when you can have this?

5 stars when it works. Only 3 because when I use it, it keeps shutting off. I've changed the batteries but it will work then go out. I have to beat it to come back on and sometimes it doesn't come back on at all. When it is on it is great, I guess mine is defective.
