The product seems good. It is the consistency of honey rather than water. I had bought this because my doctor stated that I need to consume it for a either a lung or kidney internal problem. So I bought this thinking it was drops I should eat. Well, the label specifically states "external use only... may cause liver damage... contains pyrolizidine alkaloids". After looking this up on several encyclopedia websites and the FDA web, the conclusion is that the testing used consisted of an providing the amount equal to 3-4 times the amount of the animal's bodyweight to the rats for a long period of time. Also even the FDA states it could be in cow milk. It seemed like all the websites point to this one study which is why the label states this. I wonder if all the products on amazon or in the vitamin store would also say the same. So Im still waiting to talk to the doctor about consuming it, either way. But during my search, I noticed it is good for bruises, scrapes, burns, acne, and all these other thing externally. So Im using it for my hip that seems out of place and yoga/stretching hasn't seemed to cure it in week (Im age 37 and healthy, but not a runner in the last 3 baby making years.) So I used this on my hip and the ligament or joint pain feels better. Im going to try my back next.

Awesome it really works.

I applied it to my lower back for back pain, takes it right away. First I rubbed on dmso, a CPE (Chemical Penetration Enhancer) to open the skin barrier, then rubbed on the Comfrey root. The label tells the user not to ingest, it causes liver damage. I've read that elsewhere, too. Topical use only. Well worth a try.

I bought the same bottle from the Health food store a couple of weeks before I bought this. I wanted 2 bottles so I bought this one. I used this one and the color is not nearly as dark and this runs quite a bit more. I told the people at the health food store and she said Amazon was being sued by several states for tampering with the ingredients. Hope that is not going on. But

The comfrey extract is good. I recommend this product
