Great camera for this price point
This is a great price point for a trail camera. Yes it's a little bulky but the camera does it job. Covert has somehow mastered battery consumption on all cameras. I use a 12v solar panel, and my Spypoint Camera drains the battery. These are very consistent, low consumption. Only down fall to this model, poor design on how to plug in solar panel. The door has to be closed to plug in solar panel. So, preset up camera with viewing screen first, unplug, leave to "on" position, close door and plug back in. Otherwise use AA batteries.

Good for price point
I have a couple of these and a few of the covert blackhawk cell cams. It’s a good camera for price point. With other cameras in its price range this is most user friendly and have had minimal issues. Battery life is ok if trigger isn’t set for less than a minute at a time. customer service has always been great for me.

The cell service, range and App is far superior to Tactacams cell cams.
I'll never buy another brand of Cell Cam. Covert is the best

Good Quality and Full of Features
Out of the box, I found the Covert WC30-V (Verizon) version of this trail camera (there is a Verizon and an AT&T version) to be contained within a heavy duty housing that is both attractive and durable. It comes with a folding antenna for cellular connectivity and a thick mounting strap constructed of medium duty nylon webbing and an aluminum buckle to securely fasten the camera in place. The clasp that secures the unit closed is robust and really seems to seal the housing to protect the internals from the elements. The seals hold firmly and require a decent amount of effort to upen up the housing. The loops on the back of the unit are made of the same material as the rest of the camera and are beefy enough that you can snug it up tightly with the strap without worrying about breaking them.Once the unit is opened you will find the same general set up found on most trail cameras. The screen is nice and bright providing easy review and set up. On the side is a slot for the provided SIM card and a full size SD card (up to 32gb). You can use a micro SD card as long as it has the full size housing. It should be noted that an SD card is not included so make sure you get one if you want to use this right away.Set up is simple and straightforward. Covert provides an easy to use QR code that aids in setting up your cellular service for the camera. This allows you to transmit images from the unit to your cell phone and is a great feature for remote viewing.I decided to use AA batteries to power my camera because I have a lot of them. It's a good thing too because, at a minimum, this unit requires 6 batteries. The camera will operate with 6, but you will experience reduced battery life with the minimum number installed. 8 will provide better longevity, but for maximum use it is recommended that you install all 12 batteries. Access to the battery compartment is gained by depressing the button on the bottom right next to the IR.I live in Central Indiana and we're currently in the middle of a significant winter storm. Therefore I have not put it out in the woods yet. However, the camera takes beautiful pictures and video inside my house. I look forward to being able to use it more as it was intended. I love capturing pics of my dog, but he's not as interesting as a huge buck or a big coyote to watch (sorry Cooper). This is a very nice camera. It is sturdy, user friendly, and seems to work great. Materials are of good quality. Fit and finish is really nice. Even without 12 AA batteries installed it is hefty and feels very durable in your hand.I truly believe you can look for a long time and not find a better camera in this price range. I recommend it for anyone wanting to upgrade from their entry level units and to beginners wanting a good unit that will last a long time.

better options out there
I bought one of these as an alternate option to a driveway alarm to pick up cars entering my property. My first impression of the unit was that it looked like it was designed in the 1980’s, big and bulky and crude. Setup was ok, was even able to talk to an actual customer service person based in the US when I was needing help purchasing the one year photo plan. It seemed to work properly for about 15 days then the app stopped sending pictures and showed 0bytes on the SD card even though it was set to overwrite. Upon inspecting the unit I discovered the SD card was wet (and ruined) and the 12 batteries were soaked and covered in a white powder. The return process went smoothly and I received a new unit yesterday but to my dismay they returned the ruined SD card and batteries instead of doing the right thing and replacing them. When I emailed customer service about my dissatisfaction I got a response from the “customer service” team that stated their policy was that the SD card and batteries weren’t their responsibility.

Works Great!
I own several SPYPOINT cameras and I do like them but this has great quality pics and does video. $7.99 a month for 1k picture transfers is pretty good price. I love the LCD screen for setup. The app works just fine and provides plenty of data to monitor signal and battery life. I recommend this to anyone looking for a good cell camera.

Nice to have images sent to my phone.
Price is very competitive with others on the market. Camera is durable and able to withstand the weather. It is nice not having to go to the camera to retrieve the images, no more disturbing game just to check what has passed through the area. Easy to use and set up.
