Grab a handful of these pastel candy beads, and SEA what you can create! ;)
THE BASIC DETAILS: I actually received MORE beads than I was supposed to receive; I got 152 beads for about $10.00 (FREE S&H)! What a good deal!NOTE: When I received my beads, the side of the clear "Souvenir" package was OPEN, so if your clear bead bag is open, please be careful to avoid spilling the beads, allowing them to get into the hands of small children, or allowing them to be eaten by pets! The semi-shiny shapes that you'll receive are as follows:Clamshell: These thread so that they face either to the left or to the right, but not straight up and down; both sides are identical....and texturedSpiral Shell: These thread side-to-side, and one side is indented, while the other side is high and really texturedFish: Each long, thin fish can face either to the left or to the right, because they can be threaded from head to tail. Both sides are textured (Eyes, mouth, scales, etc.), and both sides are identicalStarfish: One of the five points is always shorter than the others, and both sides are beautifully-textured....and identicalLong Shell: These are long, skinny shells, each of which threads from side to side. Both sides feature a textured upper half, but, on the lower half, one side is smooth, while the other side features a fake "seam" (You know, to simulate the area that would be open on a REAL shell)Seahorse: These seahorse beads are long and thin, too. They do look slightly awkward, but then again, a seahorse is a tough animal to render in acrylic bead form. Each seahorse is identical on both sides, featuring faintly-textured eyes, and a textured body.I received the following numbers of each shape:Clamshell = 28 total (2 White, 4 Yellow, 6 Pink, 8 Green, 4 Peach, 2 Purple, 1 Periwinkle, and 2 Blue)Spiral Shell = 23 total (3 White, 3 Yellow, 5 Pink, 1 Green, 1 Peach, 4 Purple, 5 Periwinkle, and 1 Blue)Fish = 17 total (2 White, 3 Yellow, 1 Pink, 1 Green, 4 Peach, 1 Purple, 0 Periwinkle, and 5 Blue)Starfish = 30 total (6 White, 2 Yellow, 3 Pink, 3 Green, 7 Peach, 1 Purple, 2 Periwinkle, and 6 Blue)Long Shell = 32 total (5 White, 7 Yellow, 1 Pink, 5 Green, 6 Peach, 2 Purple, 2 Periwinkle, and 4 Blue)Seahorse = 22 total (4 White, 1 Yellow, 4 Pink, 4 Green, 3 Peach, 0 Periwinkle, and 6 Blue)The eight colors that you'll receive are as follows (in DETAIL):Milky Pearl (A pure white shade)Sunlight (A light, buttery shade of pastel yellow)Inner-Shell Pink (A pastel pink)Sea Foam Green (A pastel shade of mint green)Sea Life Peach ( A pastel shade of orange / peach)Anemone Purple (A medium shade of pastel purple)Cool Underwater Shadow (A pastel shade of violet / periwinkle)Mellow Ocean (A pastel, but not TOO light shade of Baby Blue)DATE OF PURCHASE: 12-30-2016HOW MUCH MONEY? About $10.00 (FREE S&H)HOW MUCH WAITING TIME? The beads took a little over three weeks to arrive, but, in my opinion, that's not too bad.ANY FALSE ADVERTISING? Not really. Everything pretty much looks just as it does in the picture.MY STORY: I love the pastel "candy" colors of beads like these, and I love the ocean theme, so these beads were a....NATURAL....choice for me! LOL! :)THE GOOD: I'm ALWAYS going to love the colors of these beads! There are a total of SEVEN colors here, and each one is different from the others, but each is soft and pretty enough to basically be considered to be a pastel shade.I also love the shapes and textures of these beads. The ocean theme is cool, and it is well-represented....by three shell shapes, one starfish shape, and two undersea animal shapes. My favorite shape is that of the long shell; these particular shells are just so shiny and pretty!THE BAD: Some shapes aren't represented by EVERY color, so you may have to buy more than one pack of these beads in order to get every shape in every different color. Some of these beads will HAVE to be strung in certain ways, which means that some shells may only face towards the left, or towards the right, etc.THE UGLY: One of the white beads is permanently stained with something that's black, and there are pieces of plastic sticking out from the edges of plenty of these beads.APPROPRIATE AGE RANGE: Due to the fact that some of these beads are kind of small, I wouldn't give them to any child under the age of about 5, and I'd supervise ANY child under the age of about 8....GIFT IDEAS: These beads would make the perfect gift!* Give these beads to someone who loves the sea, and inspire their creativity.* These beads would be the perfect gift for a child for whom you're throwing an ocean-themed Birthday party!* Easter is coming sooner than you THINK, so add these beads to the Easter basket of someone special, and watch their eyes light up with surprised delight!* Donate these cool beads to a school or a hospital, so that you can inspire children to make their own sea-worthy creations.* These beads would make a good gift for your crafty friend who can never have too many interesting beads to thread into necklaces, etc.OTHER IDEAS: These pastel "candy" beads have more than one use!* Make necklaces or bracelets with these ocean-themed beads.* Accentuate homemade jewelry with these beads. A plain, white ribbon could become a cool choker when you sew one or more of these beads onto it.* Encourage your children to use these beads as zipper decorations for their backpacks.* Do you have a fillable lamp, and it's located in a pastel-hued room, but you're sick of the boring, white beans that you put into it, circa 1995? Replace them with these beads, and feel refreshed each time that you walk into the room!* These beads would make EXCELLENT sorting tools in a Kindergarten classroom.* Accessorize during your next beach party! You want to string a large banner between two trees, posts, etc.? Punch tiny holes in the bottom edge, and attach some of these beads to the banner, for that extra splash of FUN!* If you or your children own a really small female doll, and you are in a crafty mood, make a mermaid outfit for the doll. First, create a mermaid tail. Then, take two each of either the clamshells or the spiral shells, and create a mermaid top by sewing the "shells"....and some "ties" onto a sheer, homemade "top" that can be tied or slipped onto the doll's torso.IN CONCLUSION: I love almost everything about these beads, EXCEPT for the fact that not ALL of the beads arrived in EVERY color. I am TOTALLY going to use these beads during the future, because they're so pretty.Get these ocean-themed beads, and your next project WON'T be....all washed up, but sweetly sea-worthy. :)

Small bag. Small holes.
The beads are nice, but the holes are very small. You will need thin string to make jewlery with these beads. Also, these small holes make it challenging for younger kids to use.
