OPI Nail Polish, DTLA Collection, Nail Polish Gift Set, 4 x 3.75 ml

Bought this as a Christmas present. Very well received. Would buy again either for myself or as a present.

I have used OPI nail products over a couple of years now - when my nails are playing up like they tend to and are doing so now, I use a cheaper brand as don't want to waste such a lovely enamel on poor nails - but I so miss using the OPI when I do.The colours range from muted to vibrant colours to suit your mood or occasion but this little set is wonderful. I have used several colours and their top and base coats which really do make a difference to the overall finish.These sets make great gifts and allow you to try various colours instead of investing in the full-sized bottles; I also think that as with any nail enamel - not matter how expensive, they always chip; usually at the worst times and these little bottles allow you to keep a bottle in your bag/purse for emergency touch-ups when out and about.The only common issue is the brushes - shorter than in the full-sized bottles (necessity) and it is difficult to get a full smooth sweep along the nail like you would the full brush and sometimes not as neat looking but the quality of the enamel is lovely and always my favourite.If you know someone who loves nail polish; this would make a wonderful Christmas/birthday gift and as an introduction of they have not used it before.

Bit of a let down because I have to say I do like the packaging; the size and shapes of the bottles and I particularly loved the shimmer. Suited for a night out as well as everyday but a few buts sadly.Whereas this is a mini set the brush is also mini so painting your nails means that although the brush does glide, it doesn’t pick up much polish, so I had to keep dipping into the bottle (not going to last very long having to do this) and you need to keep layering with the small brush and needed more than 2 coats as suggested. I also felt they started chipping on my tips within only a few days.From what I can see in the product description there is a base coat and topcoat application (of which this mini set doesn’t include) for it to be a full set this is clearly missing, and I feel should be included for it to be worth the price. I still love all the colours in the set, and they look lovely on well they last, just the buts.

This is a lovely mini nail polish set as I would expect from a brand like OPI. This set consists of four 3.75ml bottles of nail polish from the current ‘Downtown LA’ collection from OPI in selected colours. The selected colours included are:Metallic Composition - rose gold shimmerEspresso Your Inner Self - soild dark taupe (which is darker than pictured)Art Walk in Suzi's Shoes - solid redAbstract after dark - Dark purple with metallic blue shimmerEasy and smooth application, just from one coat I got an even coverage with no streaks at all. Two coats minimum with a fast dry top coat I find gives the best finish.This set is £16.70 (at the time of review) and the total ml of nail polish is 15 which equates to a regular bottle. Whilst this works out slightly more expensive than a single bottle I like that you get the selection of colours and a lesser quantity of each, personally 15ml bottles are too big for me so a set like this is ideal for those that don’t want to commit to a single colour in the larger bottles of OPI polish. Overall this is really lovely quality nail polish and long lasting too.

Super colours in the collection but darker than the first image suggests, especially the brown (“Espresso your inner self”) and red (“Art walk in Suzi’s shoes”). Not that it matters much.OPI varnishes are undoubtedly high-quality. These wear well without chipping easily. A single coat is enough, at a pinch, if you’re short of time, and you’re certainly unlikely to want more than two, perhaps plus a top coat.I find them slightly tricky to apply. The brush is round and doesn’t splay as much as flat ones. I tend to need more strokes of the brush than usual on each nail, and getting into the edges of nails without applying varnish to adjacent skin can be a little trickier.The varnish dries very quickly, which is great as long as you work fast to ensure overlapping strokes merge neatly. If you’re slow, you can finish up with ridges at the overlaps.Maybe I’m just incompetent, but I’d suggest giving the brush a try before buying, to see how you get on with it.The packaging is disappointing too. The box has a plastic window which you have to remove, to recycle the cardboard. And the varnishes are housed in a plastic blister tray. Not good enough, OPI, and completely unnecessary for mail order.

My girlfriend really liked this mini set of OPI nail polish. She said that they dried in about 5 mins and you only need one coat to give a good rich colour, so despite the bottles being small, they should last a while. The polish also goes on smoothly and gives a nice finish with a natural shine. She said that the colours in this set were a nice mixture and consisted of a cherry red, a vibrant purple with a hint of glitter, a light brown colour and one that was a neutral/pink glitter one. She said the neutral/pink one is a perfect day to day colour with a hint of sparkle. These polishes are also long lasting like the rest of the OPI range. She was very happy with this set and said they are the perfect size to put in her makeup bag. She did not have any negatives to say about this set so there you go.

I like to use nailpolish completely so i get them in tiny size. Its good for natural short nails about 4 to 6 apply times feet and nails. Then get a new set of colors. Recommend for people who like to waste less and limit the"stuff" in fheir life

They are really small. The coverage is also not so good, so you have to repaint some nails. If you wish to try the colors, it is a good choice. Or as a "sampler gift". But you will then need to buy a bigger size if you plan on using any color more than twice on your 10 nails.

Great selection and quality of colors. Love the finish. The brush could be better but gets the job done!
