There were no cherries
I'm hoping this was an off batch. There were no cherries in it. I've bought them before and not had this issue. My bird still eats it but he loves the cherries. I'm a bit disappointed.

My cockatoo goes nuts for these
I have a very picky Moluccan who will not eat pellets or nutriberries or any of the expensive nut mixes I buy for her, but she adores this mixture- I do not know why. I have every nut in my fridge from macadamias to pistachios, shelled and unshelled and I find they are great fodder for the squirrels after Kira rejects them, but she does not reject the Kaytee product even though the pieces are very, very small. Go figure.

probably better for medium pet birds
I bought this mix to shake up my parakeet's fruit treat routine however the pieces of fruits and nuts were much larger than expected and my baby wasn't fond of it at all, she pecked a little but it went untouched for the most part. Tried on various occasions even tried hand feeding but she wasn't having it. Think this would be much better described for medium to large birds not those on the smaller side, the price was good so it wasn't a lot of money to try it out. Typically am very satisfied with Kaytee products, have used for many years for my pet birds and if my bird was larger this too may have been a perfect choice but my baby girl is a bit stubborn and fussy. Would suggest taking into consideration your pet bird size and typical receptive attitude when given something new to eat, it won't go to waste as the remaining birds that haven't leftfor the winter will be sure to enjoy a special treat from our outside bird feeder.
