Still Growing Wildflowers

Helped me validate some of my own feelings
I was offered this book in therapy when I was going through a difficult time. I’ve returned to it at least twice since then and feel so seen. It’s beautifully written with many nature metaphors that recognize both the hard and the beautiful parts of the human experience. A treasured part of my home library.

Wow
So eye opening, and how easily the words flow yet how deep they make you think and easily they are to connect to. This entire series has shifted my mindset helped me dive into myself and the world around me and my own interactions with my past present and future self. Very much worth the read over and over, lend it to a friend, buy it for a loved one, and open your mind into your relationships personal romantic and even as a parent. I could go on for days

Helpful for dealing with past abuse
I loved it! I got it yesterday and read it all yesterday at work. I can relate to her poems. The trying to hide who I really am; the abuse: mental and sexual. They shaped the mess I became. Now, I'm working through it all and starting to love myself, no matter my flaws.

Absolutely Brilliant!
I have never been a person who was into poetry. However, I’ve followed @whereshegrows for many years now and her words reach into the depths of my soul. I love her style and I’m turning into a poetry lover now! I can’t wait to read her other works <3

A very relatable, poetic garden
This is poetic cinema. Borne of seeds planted by hurt and abuse and religious trauma; blooming into a wildflower garden where the author sees weeds as what they truly are - new life and perspectives coming up through situations where we’re told nothing good can ever grow. She turns “just a weed” into milkweed for herself to give life to butterflies. You will cry, laugh, and relate to more than you even think possible because we are all still growing wildflowers.

Couldn’t put this book down!
It’s what I didn't know I needed right now on my healing journey. It’s beautiful, relatable, and opened my mind in a way allowing me to put thoughts to my feelings. 🦋❤️🌱
