This stool was a lot more than expected. Good quality, easy to assemble, very nice looking. It is comfortable to sit in for long periods. Price was great. Would recommend highly.

Ordered one set of two stools initially to see how I liked them. Once I received them, I knew I wanted to order another set of two before I even assembled the first set. During assembly, I ran into a slight issue. There were not any caps on mine as mentioned, but I ended up pulling out a piece I thought was a cap. It is a plastic piece that the lever on the bottom of the seat depresses for the gas shock. Lucky for me I didn't damage it and was able to pop it back in. Basically, the assembly went like this for the stools: Pulled them out of the box, screwed the seat onto the pedestal with the 4 provided screws (they are found loosely screwed into the bottom of the seat), popped the gas shock onto the metal base, and finally just rested the seat assembly on the gas shock. Pretty straight forward. I then ordered the second set of the same stools when they were back in stock. For the price I paid for all four stools compared to the local big box retailers, I give this product 5 Stars. The double stitching is definitely a better look than some of the other single stitch ones you see on Amazon. The only negative I saw in the stools is that the base is quite lightweight. If I have guests come over who do not know this, there is a tipping hazard. I haven't compared with other stools (this might even be an issue with more expensive ones at retailers), but it's minor enough of an issue to me that I still give the product 5 Stars. They look and work great!

I timed my assembly and completed in less than 9 minutes for both (after un-packaging((it was very well packaged)). They are worth the cost. They look great at my breakfast bar, have a high end appearance and are comfortable. One man put a video on here about them being unsteady at max height and he has a good point. I have a 9yr old and he's only about 60lbs. When he lifts the lever(which is supposed to lower it) it raises slowly with only his weight on it. They could easily tip at that point with only a child's weight on them. I would guess they would lower at around 80-90lbs Not a problem for us, he just knows not to do that. It is my opinion that they are made from poor raw materials but the architecture gives them strength. I wouldn't use these to sit in all day but with only having one or two meals on them a day I believe they'll last long enough to warrant the price. I am happy with the purchase. I ordered the black ones and seen in other reviews that they are a different size dimension than the others. I don't understand why this would be unless made by a different manufacturer.

You just can’t beat the price and simplicity of these bar chairs! Quality is very good and they assemble effortlessly. Like most people on here I read the reviews first and most, if not all of what people said are due to errors in assembly. 1) The “leaning chair” issue. The bottom of the chair is slightly curved to contour to your rear end and the mounting plate of the stand is flat. All four bolts must be tightened evenly to avoid this problem. If one side is tightened more than the other the chair will lean left or right. If this happens loosen the bolts on the side that is leaning and tighten the bolts on the opposite side. Easy fix!! 2) The built in nuts on the chair strip easily. If this is happening then you are severely over tightening the bolts. The bolts have self locking nubs on the undersides of them so “snugging” Them up is all that is necessary. 3) Inserting the lift strut with the protective shipping cap still on the end. It says in the directions to remove this before installation. However, if you happen to do this and you followed the steps in number two and did not over tighten the bolts removing them to get the cap out is a non-issue. I have 4 kids ranging in age from 2 to 12 and the ability to keep each bar chair at a different height is absolutely fantastic. Spills wipe right off, kids have tipped them over on the tile floor, no problems at all!

Upon unwrapping the product, I noticed grease smudges on the leather surface in addition to rust around the base of 1 chair. Were these returned items from a previous customer and sent out to me? Besides that concern, assembly was very easy. Took less than 5 mins for both chairs. They are not bulky like I was worried about. Leather padding is comfy enough, I don’t believe my bottom will go numb or hurt after an hour but I’m yet to find out. I’m able to lean back without feeling the stool will tip over but I wish the base had more weight, when I get on and off the seat, one edge of the base tends to raise for a second so it makes me fear the sturdiness of the chairs long run. For the price, it’s acceptable and my girl is happy with the look. If you are looking for more high end, quality and feel. Search elsewhere.

These stools are so elegant and well-made. They're also ridiculously easy to assemble (it took this 28 year old girl with no experience putting furniture together about 5 minutes to assemble both stools - you put the metal part with the holes onto the seat and put the screws in and fasten them, then you take the plastic cover off of the metal pole and put the metal pole into the base, then you put the whole top piece with the seat into the whole bottom piece with the base and the pole, and VIOLA!). The height adjustment is also fantastic - they rise extremely high. They're also very sturdy and have zero defects or scratches or tears. I do hope they hold up, but for now I'm very happy!
