Not much to say about this other than it works exactly as described. If you've never used a tool like this before, getting the hang of getting the pieces aligned/loaded might take you a short bit, but really and truly only a short bit. Once you understand how to use it, aligning/loading new pieces is a breeze. It also had no problem punching through the material for the cover that goes over the springs for my kids' trampoline. The cover is a quick-install version, and that is a huge time-saver and I will buy another one like that when this one wears out. It's still going mostly solid after two years, with the only problem being the velcro started to give where you attach the two halves. So, I bought this and some ball bungee ties to cinch the pieces back together. Minutes of work, and it was back in business. The grommets are durable, and you don't have to be Hercules to use the tool. Bottom line: It's a good tool and fairly priced.

This is a very easy to use grommet and tool set. The functionality of this tool is amazing. It very easily allowed me to set grommets. Long and far away are the days when I had to hit gromits with a hammer - now I can just use a tool, like a modern human. The tool is extremely easy to use and comfortable. It feels durable and high quality. I like that it has a set screw that would allow me to change out the head for other sized grommets (sold separately on Amazon). The bag of grommets included in the set are also pretty good quality and I didn't have any issues setting them. The set also includes a hole punch so you really only need to buy this set to be able to start adding grommets to whatever you want. This set is really good value for the money and I would recommend it.

Works fine. Plastic backing for hole die-punch broke in half on the first strike. One of two magnets retaining bushings on smallest size was too long, bushings did not seat properly. This product still works, but it was a little more difficult to use, the bushing would want to 'jump' out of the groove onto the taller magnet. I pressed the magnet flush below the groove, but that caused the whole disc to sit crooked in the tool. Tool still works, seems to secure bushings fine, but expected a little higher quality for the price.

I've used this grommet tool a lot on Jeep bikini tops for the Roxor Willys. It's awesome. Here are two quick tips: When you cut your holes, if the fabric is thick and hard, don't put your holes too far from the edge because the throat of this crimping tool isn't real large. With a small throat, you don't have a lot of room to bunch the edge material into the throat so you can reach the hole. Also, after you place your grommet and eyelet in the crimping tool (it's magnetically held, which is a huge help), slip the fabric into the tool and use the grommet nipple as your guide, slipping it into the fabric's hole before you squeeze the crimp. This makes the alignment perfect so the grommet is much less likely to ever come loose. Their hole cutter is awesome. I've been cutting grommet holes through thick heavy material with just one strike of the hammer. And the holes are perfect. 5stars. Great product. (Though I admit that I haven't used this on thin material.)

This is a great tool! I have been adding shade cloth to my raised garden beds. Adding grommets where I want them is totally awesome! The only thing to know is that you can only put the grommet at max a couple of inches in from an edge. You kind of need to bunch the material up in the jaws of the tool to reach more than an inch in. I haven't found that to be much of a limitation, though. The tool cuts the shade cloth cleanly for most of the hole. It is a simple matter to trim off the remaining material. Also, the instructions don't really show how to put the bottom half of the grommet into the tool (i.e., which way up). Watching the video showed how to do it correctly. Others have noted that the bottom grommet halves tend to be stuck together. This is true. However, they mostly pull apart easily. If you can't get them apart, a box knife works wonders! The magnets hold the pieces of the grommet in place. They aren't super strong so the bottom half of the grommet can tend to pop out and fall on the ground. (Make sure it's in place before squeezing!) The only issue with the tool is that it takes a lot of hand strength to squeeze the jaws shut to join the two halves of the grommet.

Works as expected

A very good tool! It is easy to use. On the first try it pressed the grommet firmly and smoothly in place! I previously purchased a different plier kit and the grommets would not get evenly pressed and would be loose. I tried five times and by then my hand was really hurting! I bought this plier kit to put grommets into my auto shade so I could attach clips and hold it to the visors. It works! I would highly recommend this plier kit!

Het gereedschap zelf is degelijk. Goede kwaliteit. Om goed aan te knijpen moet je de handvatten echter helemaal tegen elkaar aan knijpen. Ook dat is prima. Maar ik wil graag met rvs werken en je kan nergens vinden van welk materiaal de meegeleverde ogen zijn. Om die reden nieuwe 10mm rvs ogen gekocht en deze passen niet. Deze toolkit is dus alleen maar voor hun eigen materiaal. Net een fractie van een millimeter groter. Heel vervelend.

This kit is awesome and works great

A useful tool to press eyelets in canvas, or tarpaulins. Good and clear instructions. Easy to use. A separate hole punch might be a good idea in some cases. The hole punch supplied soon blunts. Otherwise the kit is a useful tool, and does a neat job.

A very heavy duty tool. Will last forever. I love the magnet. It make it easy to attach the grommet w/o falling. Highly recommend.
