Really 4.5 stars of 5. Nice signs but a minor (probably shipping induced) flaw.I ordered two of these (one for each side of my mailbox post).They just fit on a 4x4 vertical post (horizontally they go right to the edges). This makes them easier to install in some ways, but it means you need to be careful to line them up to avoid them extending beyond the edges.The finish looks good (the 'metallic' part is also paint rather than polished or burnished metal), and they seem thick and durable; likely to survive being out in the weather attached to my mailbox post. They are easy to see and read in the day, and at night a car's headlights are sufficient for them to be easily read. They have been out in the weather for close to two months (admittedly, this is hardly beginning their expected lifetime) and show no signs of issues from exposure to the weather.Each came with two screws to affix it to the post; I strongly recommend pilot holes as the screws are pretty long and thick enough that a small pilot hole for each makes it a lot easier to install.It took a few days to get them; this is to be expected of custom items. They shipped with a simple cardboard backing and a plastic cover, then folded and stapled over the face of the sign. The sign is clearly more rigid than the packaging, but I liked how the packaging showed an intent to at least protect the finish on the sign. One of mine was slightly warped (probably in transit), which was clear when it was placed on a flat surface, but I was able to make it flat again with a little care and effort. I would prefer to only take off half a star for this detail, but Amazon doesn't accept half stars.

I purchased the "Whitehall Personalized Cast Metal Address Plaque - Custom House Number Sign" because my house needed numbers and this one matched what I was looking for. Plus it had the best reviews. The reviews were on point. This plaque is perfect! The craftsmanship is beautiful and it is heavy/sturdy enough I know it will hold up to outside elements. The embossing is well done and the paint job was excellent with straight lines and no mishaps and no chips in the paint. I love it and it looks great on my mailbox post.

It is a nice plaque. It can be seen from 50 feet away during the day. It is resistant and strong. It should last at least 10 years normal wear and weather conditions without fading. I attached it to my faux stacked stone column using the 1" screws provided. The plaque that came with my house was installed there with the house over 20 years ago and after about 11 years started to fade. This is is of much more quality. See my images. I love it.

This was exactly what I needed and was looking for to help identify my house down a long driveway, since people seem to have no idea what they are doing lol. The colors and font are perfect simple styling, and I have it mounted to a simple shepard hook with 3M double-sided tape. Works perfectly. My only complaint is that the font was painted in a silvery gray color, which doesn't show up that great at night, so I painted the numbers white with exterior paint and a brush, two coats. Made it twice as readable. Reflective numbers would still be ideal. But I love it!

I have to say I'm impressed with this address sign. It is very easily readable from the street. It seems sturdy enough - we did use a drill for the 2 screws, but it was very easy to hang. I know the pic makes it look a little crooked but it's just the photo. The black and silver are prominent and stand out on the pillar. I hope this holds up for at least a few years, will update review to show how it holds up to rain/snow/ice.

The metal house # plaque is a good size to see from the street. We did have to go to a home improvement store and get a drill bit, screws, mollies, because we mounted it in brick. The description does say that it's not included. We were going to mount it on a post of the porch (thought it was wood behind the flashing) but there was a big iron poll inside the square post. Our mistake!!

A little spendy at $39 however it is very high quality and very finely detailed. Excellent for putting on a post in front of a house in a vertical installation. Excellent packaging to protect it too which was surprising since it's made of metal and probably didn't need all that protection that it got. I'd buy it again.

The website is limited and I was not able to see an example of the finished product when ordering. However , I'm very pleased with the final product.
