Overall I am delighted with this, my family loves american style pancakes and (when we can afford it) a steak nicely caramelised, The hot section does get hot enough to sear a steak and the large working area means we can cook 8 pancakes at a time (it was almost worth the price to stop the squabbling about who is next for a pancake).I do notice that the temperature does fluctuate a lot, it is NOT like an oven where you can learn that mark 4 is actually too hot or too cold. On this I keep one of those temperature things that you point at it and it tells you the temperature. That way if the food isn't browning you can turn it up and then down again.It's a shame tefal couldn't find out how to make a thermostat work, because apart from that this thing is really superb

Loved this Tefal Planch, easy to use and clean, BUT would of been so much better if half of the cooking area had been griddled, which would of prevented the sausages from rolling all over.

After using two tower products - the electric griddle bbq and the electric frying pan we settled on this as it’s sturdy, super flat and doesn’t warp.The heat is pretty consistent and we use it for breakfasts (brilliant for fried eggs), burgers, fish and steaks.I’ve had this for almost a year and honestly wouldn’t be without it. On the back of my my purchase both my sister in law and mum have also bought one and equally love it.

I followed the washing instruction recommended by the manufacturer. It did not work anymore after putting it into the dishwasher for washing.

Tried many other grills in the past. This one seems robust and good quality.
