WINONS Hot Knife Plastic Cutter with Temperature Control (Set of 25), WBT-0003-6 Multipurpose Stencil Cutter with Soldering Iron and Wood Burning Tips

The various tips and the temperature control offer the versatility I was looking for. I use the hot knife in conjunction with applying Tolex fabric to wood with hot glue gun. The hot knife temperature control allows for easy clean-up and to seal seams while avoiding melting or distortion of the vinyl covering. It is the perfect solution and makes this aspect of my projects fun again.

For the money, its not worth it. Used for an hour or two and the heating elements stopped working. I was cutting out Foam shadow boards for our tools at work. Did not get the job completed before I had to get another brand of hot knife to complete the job.

The knife blade does not fit so does not stay in. I used another tool head from the box of attachments and was able to solve my issue. If the company has a solution for the knife blade attachment, I would like to have that.

I just used this for the first time and the top piece broke.

Only thing that I would change is to mark where temperature control starts.

This item is not robust enough to heat cut ABS plastic sheeting. I ended up bending the attachments even though it was hot enough to melt the ABS. Then the inner connection broke while in use and with moderate pressure from my hand. Now it is in the trash can. I am sure it is just fine for wood burning and itdefinitely has a good temperature control but it couldn't stand up to the rigor of pressing the hotknife into a rigid and thick plastic like ABS plastic. Too bad because I wanted it to work.

I had high hopes for this - the included tools are useful and the adjustable temperature control is a great feature, however - the product isn't well built and only lasted through 1 project. Specifically:1) After only a few tool changes it was possible to spin the metal end in the plastic holder - this could lead to wire breakage inside the handle.2) The socket where you thread the tips in is too weak - after a few pushes the threaded section pushed down into the metal tip so that you can barely thread the tips in.Unfortunately the low price was too good to be true - you get what you pay for.

I started using this and the handle melted. I kept the temp low and it was still melting. Kind of disappointing. But it was $20.00. I'm not gonna expect every product to be great for $20.00. Just know that if your working on something to cut plastic. Your gonna need something better. the plastic was thick so I cranked it 50% and it melted. I think if it was at 25% it would last longer. My first time using this... It just takes to long to melt thick plastic at 25%.

billige aufmachung und finish aber für den preis kann man nicht erwarten dachte ich.sehr lange aufheizzeit bis man damit einen netzschlauch schneiden kann.beim 3. mal gab es dann einen blitz und lauten knall aus der steuerung --> interner kurzschluß wohl.schlecht auch, daß man auf der verkäufer seite keine möglichkeit hat über einen button kontakt aufzunehmen (oder gut versteckt so daß ich ihn nicht gefunden habe)

Produit bien fourni en accessoire, une qualité qui laisse un peu à désirer pour ce qui est de l'apparence et de la tenue en main, il a très bien fait son travail pendant quelques heures puis à cessé de fonctionner soudainement, impossible de le faire repartir, le filament dans la tête de chauffe à fondue, c'est dommage.

La compré y la he usado para cortar dos trozos de fieltro. La cuchilla se alojaba, y mucho, a poco que hacías algo de fuerza para profundizar en el Corte y finalmente, fruto del calor y del movimiento, el soporte roscado terminó por partirse. No lo recomiendo para Corte en absoluto, no tiene ninguna firmeza
