Q: Do you need to wear gloves with theses? I am doing a program that requires continuous use for 45 mins to 2 hours.

No, you never need gloves to lift weights.

Q: Would this work with a jay flex?

Yes, I have Jayflex barbell and EZ curl and the attachment claps work just find with these ProForm adjustable dumbbells.

Q: I would like to be able to add 5lb increments so I can use 15s or 25s instead of being restricted to 10s or 20s. Any advice for how to do so?

I do not know of a way to add weight, there are 2 work rounds that I use. 1. Add on extra plate to one end. this will unbalance the barbell. I think of this as dynamic barbell. your body has to compensate for the unbalance just like lifting something in life. 2. Add a pair of wrist waits. I have a pair of 2 lb to "go between"
