Q: What's with all the warping of the lid? Has Bodum fixed this issue? Love the look of the box, but don't want to have to return it.

I would not recommend this. My lid also warped, just within weeks. Never got it wet or washed with water. The lid I received, mysteriously did not have the Bodum logo as shown in the pictures.

Q: Will this box hold more than one loaf of bread?

Yes, it will hold 2 side by side. However, the "small" loaf is the best. You may have to squish it lengthwise if it was a full or king loaf of bread. But it's a great box, I love it.

Q: Is this white off white or a light grey? i have the bodum commuter mugs in white but it not white

It is definitely not white. This looks bad next to all the true white

Q: can someone tell me how this works? when should the vent be open and closed?

It depends on the temperature/ conditions in your kitchen. The vent helps to reduce moisture in the bread box. I don't think it makes much difference though! It's a nice bread box but doesn't hold much.
