Best wood drill bit I’ve bought, cuts through fence posts and C24 timber very easily. Felt pricey at the time but can see the value now.

I use these for work daily. Bee using these sane ones for years. They are one of the best I've used. Even better than the dewalt ones.

These are generally good cutters. Better than standard cheap ones, but can get jammed if using a cordless.These cutters have a threaded point section, so pull themselves through the wood, but this does mean they can get jammed fairly easily if they can't cut the wood as quick as the thread pulls it through. This was with using a decent professional grade cordless, so imagine this would be more of a problem with a less powerful tool. Simply reversing the direction and running it back a bit, then building up a bit of speed seems to do the job (at least for a cm more!). Still quicker and easier than the cheap hole cutters.Can leave a slightly messy cut, so use a forstner bit is you need a cleaner hole.

I used it to make a deep hole in a log that I found outside (probably not the intended purpose) but, although it took some time to get used to, with the self screwing bit at the front it went straight though with no problems. Would recommend.

I replaced an ancient hole cutter of a similar design, also for 22mm holes, with this one. I was intending to cut holes in the side of a door to take a mortice lock. Using the old hole cutter, it just spun around and didn't take very much off at all. This Bosch hole cutter is exactly the opposite. It drags itself in thanks to the spiral tip, and chews through the wood at an almost alarming rate. I was using a hand brace and all my force was going into turning it as it pulled itself into the wood, taking a fairly hefty cut for each rotation. I didn't need to push on the brace at all (absolutely no push force required at all to get it to cut). It made a neat and tidy series of connected holes. The holes were overlapping to create the mortice lock cavity, and having measured when I was going to start each hole, the drill never veered off even though there was about 7mm of overlap between the holes. The wood didn't split, even though I was into the door by about 80mm, and drilling by hand. Because of how effective this drill bit is at getting through wood with a 22mm diameter, it has to be 5 stars. I'm just wondering what would happen if I put this into a power drill where the slowest speed was still say 1000rpm. I think it would just fly through the wood in milliseconds and perhaps not be very controllable. I'd say that if you're planning to use this with a power drill, make sure it has a slow start / infinitely variable speed control and take it very slowly. It'll need to have quite a lot of torque to turn this due to the depth of cut. Provided you can provide enough strength in your arm to stop the drill wrenching out of your hand, hole cutting this way will be fast, almost effortless, very effective, and neat.

Good bits with screw head that bites into wood and pulls the blades of the bit through very efficiently... good for all woods...

O produto em si como as brocas veio todas novas,mais o estojo veio sujo por fora e com uma piquena macha interna,como é um produto novo e de uma marca muito antiga no mercado,o certo é o estojo que comporta as brocas vim todo limpo,esse é o procedimento correto,porque afinal não é tão barato esse jogo de brocas,mais as brocas em sim vieram realmente novas e espero que tenha uma ótima qualidade.
