the best primer on pool construction
as far as books on the construction of swimming pools, this is the best we've come across. some parts are very UK regulation focused but it's still a worthwhile primer no matter where you are working.

Overpriced and out of date.
Doesn't address thermal insulation which is now a building regulations requirement, and doesn't really deal with waterproof concrete additives either - disappointing for the high price - out of date, only really useful for structural aspects.

far too old a book
I have emailed Amazon to ask how to return this book but have had no answer. The book is from the 1970's which I did not realise. It may have been my mistake that I ordered the wrong book but I do not want it.

Recommended... Pool Standards / Materials
Lots of details related to cement. Plus, references to research books. Book's worth purchase. Helps by Avoiding Design Flaws and To Build correctly.

No good here in the US
Didn't have the info I needed and was established based on codes in the UK. Didn't really help me here in Texas. It's like most college textbooks: a lot of filler and no real world application information.
