Supernova

One of the best films this year
The story of two men deeply in love and how they cope with impending dementia is handled with unflinching honesty by two actors at the height of their powers. This is not an LBGTQ call for acceptance, this is a film that will touch all but the most stone hearted and emotionally stunted. Watch it, and see why a supernova shines so bright as it dies - as does a man. Brilliant.

A bit of a "Schindler's list"
Thought provoking, and rather close to the bone if you have experienced similar problems within the family! Film is well crafted and cast and offers insight into the tragic and sometimes comical situations that are the norm for the carers and friends of those afflicted with brain abnormalities. Worth watching, but probably only once.

Lovely, touching film
Stellar performances from Stanley Tucci and Colin Farrell in this heartrending story of a couple faced with the vagaries of a dementia diagnosis and the end of life that many are having to deal with nowadays. Magnificent.

Moving Film
Two difficult subjects in one film, a moving portrayal of a couple coming to terms with one of them living with dementia. Played superbly by both Stanley Tucci and Colin Firth, a lovely film

Absolutely loved it!
I loved it and highly recommend. Very moving and excellent acting as you'd expect from Colin Firth. Very heartfelt. Quality of DVD excellent and very fast delivery.

Strong performances but no substance
The film just felt devoid of any actual story. Just a drive to a dinner and some conversations. A real shame. Great leads and performances but never felt like anything happened and as a result never connected to the characters

Pre-ordered as the reviews were good
Pre-ordered as the reviews were so great but I disappointed and wasn’t expecting the end to be something and nothing! Left me wanting more and to see how Tuskers dementia panned out and the relationship between him and Sam!
