Great book learning alot

I recently heard this author, speak at a women’s conference “her voice movement” in portland, Oregon! As I was watching it live from home; I knew I needed to purchase this book! Because In my Christian walk with the lord, I want to seek all the people that haven’t been touched yet; or that the majority of Christians stay away from…. This author has drawn me into the love of Jesus and how to be creative with drawing people into his presence. Allowing the Holy Spirit to do the work and have his way 😄 I highly recommend you grab yourself a copy 🥳

I found Cindy McGill by watching an interview on a video. Her book put so many things in my own ministry walk into a new perspective and understanding of how we as pastors must see people outside the walls of the church. We must love them enough to learn to speak their cultural language without compromising the truth of the scripture. This book is written so well and takes you through understanding what it means to use “words that work” when reaching out to those who have been deceived by the enemy or hurt by religion. It shows us how to value who they are and use words of encouragement to help them find Jesus and regain their true identity. This book will open your eyes—at least if you hunger for more and want to truly be a part of helping Jesus “a friend of sinners” reach His friends without religiosity or condemnation for their behavior.

Every Christian should read this book. We are living in a world of church hurt and unchurched people. This book teaches you how to reach them with the LOVE OF CHRIST. It's a must read.

I feel that there's an absolute anointing on this book to change the way we think and the way we speak! I've been involved in Treasure Hunting, Psalm Reading and Dream Interpretation Booths, Renaissance Faire, etc for the past 10 years and I still had difficulty getting over speaking christianese... I hadn't even finished reading this book when I got the opportunity to minister to a young Asian woman at a restaurant. The fearless leader of our small group loves to put us on the spot at restaurants, so we do this often even when we think we don't have anything, Holy Spirit always shows up! However, like I said, I still always struggled with the christianese -but after just reading a few of the chapters... the only thing I can think of is that there is just an ANOINTING on this book, because when I began speaking to the girl, the words coming out of my mouth we're NOT christianese! I realized that I was saying words like "the one who created you", "creator", "the one who knows you"! And that just wasn't my former language even though Id always tried so hard not to talk like a religious person during outreaches! God began to download words of knowledge that I was able to share with our waitress, she actually got really freaked out and asked me if I was stalking her on Facebook! I laughed and told her that we were from out of town, and I didn't know her name until just then. The amazing thing is this resulted in her salvation!!. Then she went and got her boss so we could tell that lady about her life too! Long way around the short story sorry but I am just so excited about this book! I recommended it for our small group study and we have all really enjoyed it, and most importantly, I feel like it's really making a difference in our outreach ministries! DON'T get this book if you're still set in doing things the old way that you've always been doing them because I guarantee you, when you read the book, your speech WILL change, and you WILL see God's friends and a whole new light!

She's written a book that opens up vistas for reaching people in every nook and cranny of our multi-faceted people world by learning about the words that will make sense to them when you speak. Great idea if you want to share your great idea with someone who has a different vocabulary than the one you are so comfortable with and she uses many situations to bring the concept to life. Learn a new language today!!

I could not put this book down. As a follower of Jesus who was hurt in the church and ran away from God and experienced first hand trauma and abuse in the sex industry, I was deeply inspired and ministered to through this book. I have been brought back to my Father's house only through His unconditional love and I know that this is the only way to reach those who feel rejected and unworthy. The revelation that Cindy shares in this book is only from the heart of a loving Father and a beautiful example of His creative and patient pursuit after the ones He loves! This book is a must for every single Christian, no matter the denomination. Cindy utilizes real life stories and testimonies to share how we need to not use Christian language with everyone. She is real, genuine and loving throughout. It is a little but powerful book that is life changing!! Easy to read and simple to apply the concepts!
