ExcelSteel 242 5-Quart Stainless Steel Colander

The metal inside the colander is flaking, and has sharp jagged pieces sticking up. It appears that the defective spots are exactly where the base is attached underneath.The replacement colander was more damaged than the original one. :(I won’t be trying a 3rd from this vendor!

Muy buen escurridor, el tamaño es grande, al ser de acero no hay inconveniente de que pudiera oxidarse, el material es de buen resistencia, llevo varios meses usándolo y el cuidado adecuado no se maltrata, producto recomendable.

I was looking for a while for a stainless steel colander that had a bottom that could rest on my sink when I strained pasta etc. and this looked to be a good choice at the right price point. When it arrived I was surprised how large it is - I neglected to really consider that one quart equals one litre so this colander has a five litre capacity (if you want to get metric).I have had it for several months and it is great, it is easy to clean and keep clean - unlike the plastic ones.

I bought two of these strainers and I really like them. Not overly heavy but sturdy feeling. They reliably sit in the sink so I can confidently pour out my hot water from cooking with the potatoes or whatever veggie without fear of it tipping over and losing my cooking down the sink.Holes are large so I take it by the handles to give it a shake and swirl to drain the rest of the water out. Very happy with this purchase.

Es una coladera sólida y bien terminada. La leve desventaja es que suele quedarse un poco de líquido en el fondo entre las paredes y los orificios.
