Review: Pretty! - These are so pretty! They do require the proper amount of direct sunlight to work. We had several rainy days in a row, and they only stayed lit for a few hours. But when it is sunny, they stay lit approximately 7 hours. They are only for ambiance. I would not rely on them to be able to see in a space unless you are hanging several strands in a small area.

I started to wonder what I was doing wrong. Then I took the other one out of the box, and this time I read the instructions before hanging it up, thinking it should take a few days to get the solar working. That very evening my dog and I was sitting on the patio when all the lights came on! it was beautiful! The only thing is, it is not very bright. But then, my sister pointed it out to me, it is gold and covered. so maybe I am asking for too much

These are so pretty! They do require the proper amount of direct sunlight to work. We had several rainy days in a row, and they only stayed lit for a few hours. But when it is sunny, they stay lit approximately 7 hours. They are only for ambiance. I would not rely on them to be able to see in a space unless you are hanging several strands in a small area.
