Worked... After some effort
Let me start by saying the parts in the kit were the correct parts for my 10 year old pre-2011 polaris PB-60 booster pump. Definitely look on YouTube first for detailed installation instructions. Problem is, these guys are illustrating replacement on new or nearly new pumps.First: To replace the shaft seal the pump housing must be disassembled and removed from the motor. The hardest part was the four stainless steel bolts connecting the housing to the motor. After ten years outside the bolts had corroded and fused to the motor housing. A lot, I mean a lot, of elbow grease was required get those bolts out. I honestly thought I might snap the bolts, I had to stand so hard on the breaker bar. Next I used my tap and die set to clean the fuzed on gunk off the bolts and ran the tap into the motor mount to clean that out so it could all go back together with ease.Second: It turned out the shaft seal itself wasn't the source of the leak, but rather the base of the shaft seal where it presses into the pump housing. Not knowing that at first I assembled everything ran the pump which then leaked worse than ever. When I took it all apart the second time I noticed the rust on the exterior of the old shaft seal housing base, and rust marks on the housing where it was pressed in. In other words water had been slowing leaking around the exterior of the shaft seal assembly where it was pressed in. After cleaning everything really good I noticed pitting on the housing so ended up applying silicone sealant to the exterior of the housing and interior of the housing, prior to tapping the shaft seal back into the housing. This fixed the leak. I know by effectively gluing in the shaft seal it may never come out again, but it is an old pump and may fail before this new shaft seal.

Good seals. Amazon design for reviewing a product sucks.
Clicked on a delivery that didn't actually make it to my house and went to leave a review. Didn't realize that the screen that opened up was for ALL of my recent deliveries so when I typed in a bad review it was for the wrong product. I got these seals promptly and they worked great. I would buy them again. Sorry about the bad review, I didn't see a way to delete it.

Fixed my leak but it didn't fix my noise problem
I had a noisy and leaking pump, so I purchased this rebuild kit. The fit is perfect and took very little time to replace. The hardest part was trying to back out the screws holding the pump housing to the motor. The steel screws had rusted into the aluminum motor housing. Look for videos on Youtube to explain the entire process. After reassembling the pump it ran water tight but my only disappointment was that it made just as much noise as before. At that point, I took the motor to a local repair shop who replaced the motor bearings. The nice thing about this pump is that water can not leak into the pump like it can on the "quiet" pump and other pool pumps. As a first step to solve the noise problem given the low cost of the kit and effort required to replace the seals, this is the way to go. After completing this step, it identified that I also had a motor bearing problem. My total cost (with installing flex lines and motor repair) was about $150. This cost less than the price of a new motor and far less that what a pool company would charge. In the end, my pump and motor is whisper quiet and should last for years.

Perfect fit for older PB4-60 pumps!
All parts were as described and perfect retrofits for my PB4-60 pump. Pump sounds smoother and quieter after rebuild.Be aware the this kit does not come with silicone as some reviews have mentioned, so you'll want to have some on hand. Will update as appropriate with durability.

Works Great and cost less than local stores...
Got this part for $8 bucks and change...put it on in thirty min and no leaks! Works great and even better is that the SAME item is at another local store for $40 bucks! ouch! Glad I went to Amazon for this part!
