Q: Do they make thumb picks in a thin

Not so thin that they will not work. Idea is to play louder!

Q: Will these work on a kalimba?

First, I prefer to use my thumbnails. However, don't think the thumb picks will work since the angle is different, but you could make them work. if you use the finger picks, the metal may be to slick to give a good contact with the keys

Q: Will this work with a tenor ukulele

if you don't want to use your fingers, you could give it a try. I got them for my lapsteel.
