Master Chief Ultra Prestige Halo Microsoft Costume, Large/10-12

Product vs. what was advertised: I feel as if the product exceeded expectations. It’s unusual that the picture and the end-result will align as well as what I got with this Halo costume. I was also surprised that the underlying jumpsuit had built-in muscles. Plus, it has the armor design printed on it in case your little master chief doesn’t want to wear the armor pieces. Still looks great with the jumpsuit and helmet.Quality: No complaints. I also ordered a storm trooper costume from another company at the same time, and the plastic pieces were very thin and flimsy on that costume. These are thicker and more durable.Value: Despite all the great things I have to say about my purchase, I feel it should have been half the price I paid, but who doesn’t want to save money?Instructions or Assembly: It took about half an hour for his dad to put the costume on my nephew, but it wouldn’t take nearly that long a second time. There was a bit of figuring out where all the different pieces went. The plastic armor pieces attach via Velcro to the jumpsuit, and seemed secure enough, but not really for rugged play.Likelihood of Recommending to a Friend: Highly. I already have recommended it.Pros: Jumpsuit is very good quality and includes fake muscles, which was awesome. It also has the armor pieces printed, which makes it look good if you choose not to apply the armor pieces and just run around in the suit and helmet.Cons: I would have preferred that the plastic armor pieces affixed to the jumpsuit by some means other than Velcro. You can’t really sit down with the plastic armor on because of how it sticks off the back. Also, you should order larger than you think you’ll need. I got the largest size for a skinny 9-year old and it was perfect.

My kid won Halloween with this. The camo body suit fit my thin son very well with room to grow. Maybe not for the average obese American child. However, the gloves were too small for my sons hands. Then there's the plastic molded parts that velcro on, they look great, but not sturdy. At first my son said it felt clunky. So, we had him try it on while seated (minus the butt molding) and we adjusted how everything attached for better range of motion. Helmet fits and looks great, especially with the lights on! However, poor visibility and outside sounds are muffled and when the child talks inside the helmet it'll be like yelling in a box. So, be aware since you won't be able to see their expressions and their their vision and sound will be altered. However, we had a great time for hours and two excursions. Be warned, if the velcro touches the fabric it will rip and shred the costume.

It was a really cool costume, the plastics we're a lot flimsier than we expected them to be based on reviews that described the plastic as firm and thick. It does take a long time to put it on. Ultimately we decided to exchange it because the helmet was deformed and could not be corrected. When the second one arrived it contained an adult size helmet, one of the plastic pieces were broken and was not symetrical to an adjacent piece (the back "jet" pieces) made it look bad so we decided to return it also. Perhaps had the description included that these are factory seconds or otherwise described the inconsistencies then our expectations may have been in check but when it's classified as "Ultra Prestige" you expect the quality to match that classification unless otherwise noted.

This costume exceeded our expectations but it does have some issues.First off: the price. This is an expensive costume. But when you see it, you understand why. I just wish for the price, some of the issues had been taken care of.Detail: there is a tremendous amount of detail in this costume. It has several pieces and they all look great. Not cheaply made.Sizing: my kid is 10, and short but solid. I got him the size L 10-12 and it fits length wise very well, but is a little tight in the shoulders. The suit gets hot, but that’s expected in a full body jumpsuit. It even covers the head, which is great cause no skin shows under the helmet, in the neck area.Helmet: it’s amazing. Good fit, full coverage, and lights up too. It also had great visibility. My son also has a Master Chief mask and it’s difficult to see through. This helmet is really good. After using this costume, we will probably display the helmet on a shelf with our Darth Vader and Ironman helmets.Gloves: unfortunately these are tiny and my son’s hands do not fit in them. I am goi g to have to buy some other gloves because we cannot work with these. So that’s disappointing.Attachments: there are many attachments that all Velcro onto the jumpsuit. They are sturdy and durable. Thin plastic, but don’t seem to be in danger of breaking.Unfortunately, a few of them do not have sufficient Velcro where they need it, and come loose easily. I will need to buy some extra Velcro and attach it myself to sort of reinforce some of the attachments. But for the most part, the pieces fit well and stay put. Mostly the problem areas are the joints (knees and elbows). There are a couple other areas that just need extra Velcro, or need to be slightly repositioned with new Velcro.With this many attachments, it’s understandable that some of the pieces would need some readjustments. It’s not tailored, after all.It takes some time to get all the pieces on. Definitely follow the instructions because the order in which you do things DOES MATTER. It’s a lot harder to put things on your legs if you already have them on your arms, for example.Mobility: It’s a little difficult to move around in once all the pieces are on. But it’s definitely manageable. My kid has some trouble bending his knees but otherwise he does fine.This is a very deluxe costume. The price was a challenge for us, but we really wanted to gift this to our son so we made it happen. It’s way better than any other kid’s Master Chief costume available. Most of them are just fake muscle jumpsuits with a mask that doesn’t cover the whole head.I just wish it had been more affordable. Especially considering there are a few things I will need to fix (new gloves and additional Velcro).

My son wanted to be the master chief with "real armor" in the worst way this Halloween, but the $320 ish price tag is a bumit steep. I lucked out and found this Amazon Warehouse deal for $134 with a damaged package, but new contents. I incredibly pleased with the product and price I got it for. My son is ecstatic.

My boy has been pretty stoked about this costume. He loves everything about it. Was a really great purchase.
