Leupold BX-1 Rogue Binoculars, 8x25mm (59220)

I bought these binoculars for a trip to Scotland. I wanted a compact pair and a reasonable price. I knew Leupold made good hunting scopes so I was hoping their binoculars were just as good. I must say, I'm very pleased with these. These are lightweight, compact and waterproof. I forgot and left them outside one night. the next morning they were fogged over with dew. I wiped them off with a towel and once they warmed up, they were totally clear. The image is very sharp, the eye cups twist up and down (great for people with glasses) and they work will for people with smaller features. I do not have anything bad to say.

Firstly, the product arrived quickly. Secondly, just as anticipated, leupold just is what it is. These are a really solid product, even though they are on the "low end". They have a good weight to them, the rubberized coating is easy to grip. Setup and adjustment is easy and smooth. I half expected the low light with the smaller objective lenses to be an issue. I have not had any trouble seeing my target. The lens quality is very good, I am not sure I would want or need anything better for my purposes. I will mainly be using them for archery target spotting. But they are also used as general purpose, I.e. Sporting events, spotting animals, birdwatching. I took them in to a live music venue (had crappy seats) and was glad that I did, I could see the stage and the performers, even from the cheap seats. I must admit that they were a bit on the heavy side for that. But for everything else mentioned, they are just right.

Perfect size and weight for what I need. I have several pairs of binoculars but none that were small enough that didn’t weigh me down.

Impressive image quality, light weight, used this week in Paradise which had another fire. The tanker jet, two spotter CalFire planes, two water helicopters and could catch high altitude airlines. The colors and contrast are photographic with defined depth of field. They do focus beyond ∞ which required live focusing as aircraft came and went. It appears they've been returned before, maybe for this reason, so I'm sending them back for a replacement. I recommend a simple padded camera strap, however. Second order was a sealed package. Old inventory received first time, it looks like I was at least the third receiver. I have not opened product packaging and will certainly return this.

Nice and bright . Sturdy case. Clear view. Completely waterproof. Right eyepiece adjusts diopter. works well when wearing sunglasses. Has a rugged sturdy feel to it. I bought it for life in an RV, and it's gotten knocked around. I don't know what these other reviewers were talking about, you can adjust the right day after and the width, very happy purchase.

these are really nice binos. the picture is clear from edge to edge, fast and accurate focus, they feel great in hand with a shape and texture that makes it super easy to hold for long periods without getting tired hands, the screw out eye cups are perfect with or without glasses on, the picture is clear in daylight and even at night. waterproof as well. spend the few extra bucks and get these instead of the cheapo field glasses you were just looking at.... they are worth the extra bucks. these blow my nikon 8x40's away... seriously. I use them at sporting events in dusty venues and they are great. now i know why the Leupold products are so well regarded by enthusiasts... they make a product that will exceed your expectations.

A relatively inexpensive set of binoculars of Leupold quality. Easy to adjust, carry and use. They are not going to give you the performance of an expensive Leupold but are a good small set of binoculars.

Great product. Wonderfully light and efficient. Fell and broke the eye viewer off and repair in Canada is challenging despite lifetime warranty

I’ve never owned a poor product from Leupold and that includes these binoculars. Granted they are not the top of the line Leupold, but for the average hunter or hiker etc, they are great for the $.
