Product works fine, does as expected and is of good quality. 4 stars simply for the reason that there is no mention I can see of needing an adapter as this only comes with a American style 2 prong plug. Other than that, great product and excellent to work with.

Top tip: If you are selling items into the UK market, 1. include a UK plug or 2. Inform the buyer that the item does not include a UK plug (or adapter).The plastic is cheap and is poorly constructed. The provided base does not have sufficient weight for it provide a stable base for the lens/lamp. The lens needs to be so close to the subject as to be useless for crafts/electronics etc. All in all definitely NOT worth £61. Returned.

Sold on the UK amazon but doesnt come with a UK plug making this unusable.No where does it say will need plug adaptor anywhere when was buying this.

I recently got into miniature painting and needing a magnifying glass to paint all these small pieces. I got the 2.25x magnifier and it worked great. The LED lights are great and very helpful. My power was out during the day, but I got this magnifier and plugged it into a battery backup I had and that was the only light I had other than sunlight coming through the windows, and it was enough. See the pics for magnification. The 2.25x really does help quite a bit. I was able to paint fingers, and small joints, etc.CONS: Not much of a con, but I thought it was powered via USB, but it is just a standard 2-prong connection. I had a small battery backup I wanted to use that connects USB, but since the magnifier was 2-prong, I had to use a different battery pack. So not a huge concern and most people wont care. Another "con" is the base is nice and heavy, but when the lamp is bent at certain angles, it can still tip over. Again, this is a small con, and not a deal breaker at all, but thought I would note it. I was painting a mini and adjusted the magnifier and it tipped over while I was painting. So, just dont stretch the goose neck out all the way horizontal and you should be fine. Just something to be aware of.Overall, a great purchase I am happy with.

the base is sturdythe light is just the right brightness, not too bright or too dim, and it has a nice glowthe magnification and radius of vision is excellentI haven't tried the clamp but it seems like a good quality plastic, not thin and cheapBottom line, very happy with this purchase.

Listen we never want to admit that our eyesight isn't 100% perfect but let's say that you're a little challenging in that area let me tell you this is the perfect light for you. The magnifying ranges big and the light really helps. I love the fact that it has two options I use both sometimes I need to clip it onto stuff and other times I just like it to be standing on the table. I think this is a perfect item for someone who makes things that needs to be able to see closely for example small intricate Creations or fixing a watch battery etc etc you get the point. By the way changing it from standing to clipping is really easy you just twist and Pull and it's ready to go

super useful, both the rigid strong clamp and the heavy base. glass magnifier works great, and the illumination from the led ring light is great!

Well made. Purchased for my wife to use while threading her sewing machine. Small enough to fit close enough for this use and the magnifier is strong enough to magnifier the needles, etc.
