I bought this leash around two months back and it does all what it says. Very convenient to handle and the retraction is very smooth, sturdy and strong. Having said that if your not taught your dog not to bite the leash then probably your dog will shoe it of couple of times and you might have to get it stitched. You also have to be aware that if your dog chews it off in a manner that the leash snaps at any point along the length, then the mechanism inside will become completely free. Since the packing appears to be a one-time fix, opening, it will be a very tired some task and may not be the same as it came initially. Therefore, try to using this leash, make sure your dog as well trained and doesn’t chew on its leash as any failure of this leash will compel you to buy it again and again, which is not practically feasible, citing the price of the leash is not something which can be spared over and over again. Don't buy. Breaks easily

It's strong sturdy and reliable. More expensive than others but worth it.
