Q: I am having trouble getting mine to turn on (as in I cannot get it on) there were no directions. How do you turn it on?

After I had mine a few months, I started having the same problem. My advice is to return it and buy something else. These things are junk!

Q: What is the warranty for this product? Im looking for electric mill/grinder with lifetime

Cole & Mason advertise that they warranty the grinder mechanism for life, but not the rest of the unit. That being said, I have a different grinder that was warrantied for life, but the manufacturer stopped both production of it and replacement parts. That's why I bought a pair of the Cole & Mason grinders. Also, the Cole & Mason grinders have a steel grinding mechanism, not plastic or ceramic.

Q: What is the difference between the Battersea and Hampstead models, other than price?

They are different designs. I do not know if the internals are different or the same. We have the Hampstead models and love them!!

Q: Where is the light? it says led light!

my light stopped working on the salt grinder. I replaced the aaa batteries with new copper top batteries, light still doesn't work. Is the led light on the bottom replaceable?
