I suck at hair and this does the job.
I’m still getting the hang of it, but the results (when I wrap my hair properly) are luxurious. The velvet texture works wonders. I actually use my matte black super pack of claw/butterfly clips with this to get more hair in. Travels easily as well.

It does work
I was skeptical when first buying this product because honestly, it looks like it wouldn't work. But it actually works. One thing I don't like about it is; I have found that sleeping in it is kind of uncomfortable and the couple times I have done that the curls have not turned out very well. And one of the times I slept in it the band slipped back on my head. I think if I kept the clip on top of my head it probably wouldn't have done that. But the way I do it the the curls turn out great! I lightly dampen my hair with a spray bottle and pop it on for a couple hours in the morning. This typically works out great for me because I am a stay at home mom. Highly recommend for other moms because doing your hair is so easy, you can leave the band curler in your hair while taking care of the kiddos and then when your ready to leave the house you just take it out, run your fingers through your hair and bam you have hair that looks like you spent time styling it!! Just for reference my hair is a medium length. Also a good video to watch on how to wrap your hair around the heatless band curler is from "Effortless Beauty" on youtub.

Takes a lot of practice.
So I’ve noticed a few things when using this curler.First- the curler doesn’t stay in place even if you leave the hair clip attached. I have used it before bed and in the morning where I would wear it during the day without laying my head on a pillow and it still slides back on my head.Secondly- My hair doesn’t stay securely wrapped. When I first wrap my hair around the curler, it will be nice and tight but as it dries, the hair at the top starts to loosen so my hair only gets curled really well at mid shaft on down.Third- There are no instructions provided with it so unless you do some searches online for videos you really are on your own to figure it out. I came back to the product page and the instructions on one of the images only made things more confusing. I ended just trying it different ways to see which way I liked best.I found that having the hair mostly dry before wrapping it allows the hair to dry more quickly so one doesn’t have to wear it as long.I also liked adding in a texture spray after shampooing and conditioning and then wrapping my hair while still wet, sleeping with it wrapped, and then finishing it off in the morning with a medium-to-low hair dry setting also helped.Fourth- The hair ponies that are provided can create marks in the ends of your hair if you don’t quite have your hair wrapped really well at the ends.Overall, I do think this is worth the price I paid for it because if care is taken when the hair is wrapped, the curl is very nice.Tips: I found that using hair clips at the top helped keep the top of the hair wrapped instead of coming loose so I was able to get the curl to start a little higher up than mid-shaft.I also found that using a hair clip helped keep one section of hair from coming loose while wrapping another section of hair until I was ready to add the ponies at the ends.I also found that you don’t want the curler to go straight down the side of your head. You’ll want to start at the top and then go at a slight angle towards the back of your head or the back sections of hair will only be curled at the very ends since most of the hair will just be stretched to reach the curler near the side of the head.I was also never able to get it to work or stay in place by attempting to braid this into the hair as the image suggests.

What the heck it works!?!
Alright I feel bad for taking so long to review this...because I bought this last year and I barely REALLY tried it last week. When I did try this I didn't really know "how" to do it correctly, so I basically chalked this purchase up as crap I've bought. But then I saw someone on tiktok recently use it, so then I mimicked what she did and I was honestly surprised and in awe. I've been trying to find heatless ways to do my hair and make it pretty without scorching it everyday. I mean it's as easy wrapping your hair around the tube all in the same direction and I spray with water and make sure my hair is somewhat damp before sleeping with it. Compared to other heatless things I've tried it's comfortable to sleep in. So I leave it over night and take it out right before I head to work. One thing I do myself is sorta "tighten" both sides the noodle for tighter curls, and then I use a ordinary black hair tie to tie the noodle ends together under my neck so they stay in place and don't fall out of my hair when I sleep. This keeps the noodles in place, and gives you tighter curls that I feel last longer all day. (I highly recommend this method) It doesn't take long, it's fast to put your hair into, it's heatless, painless, easy to sleep in, and worth a shot. I will honestly say that it did start unraveling at one end of the noodle the "decorative" pearl that's in there popped out, but hey it's a cheap piece of crap that works and I can just sew it shut so meh not a major deal breaker. But honestly this is my new "go-to" heatless alternative. I'll probably buy a couple more just to have 😊 Woo-hoo! Lol

Not for thin hair
Way too big and bulky to work with thin hair. I think it would work with thicker, longer hair. My hair is thin and just past shoulder length.

I’m so puffy,
I have long hair and a lot of it and wanted to avoid the hour of curling my hair with the curler . It is definitely a chore to get your hair braided on this thing but over all it did what it had to. I combed my hair out with my fingers and there are lots of curls and yes I’m puffy lol. I have to practice a bit more but not bad for the first try.

Defective plus...
I found it too big and I have very long hair, doesn't fall straight, instead it moves around a lot Even with the clip, was bent in different areas, was not what I expected.

Not velvet material
It's not velvet. It's not even satin. It's some cheap silk. Plus the headband is missing.

Don’t waste your money
It is too big in size and my head doesn’t fit the band at all after applying the bands and clip. Don’t waste your money!!!!
