We would like to install the handle that selects hot/cold in the front rather than on the side. Is there any reason why we can’t?

The handle operation cannot be changed or altered so the handle will operate from the top being hot to the left being cold. Cartridges can be damaged by debris/sediment coming through the supply lines or over time by exposure to minerals in the water.
