Shoulder pad
This is a very nice shoulder pad. I bought it for my EDC sling bag which did not come with any padding. Very well built, and has very thick padding. I have not had any problems with it moving around or sliding down my strap. The Velcro and everything thing else about it just seems to be well made. I do not regret my purchase and I will be buying this product again. I also recived the product 4 days early which is always a plus.

Perfect for climbing harness leg straps.
First off, I am sure these would work perfectly for their intended purpose. I however had a stroke of brilliance and luck retrofitting them to my fall protection harness. My industrial harness was made for protection first, and comfort second. Working more and more in situations where I have to be suspended for long periods, the leg straps started to dig into my legs excruciatingly. While the long-term answer will probably be upgrading to a harness specifically designed to be suspended for hours on end, these fit my FallTech in an eerily perfect way. It’s hard to describe how perfectly they fit around the safety straps, and as an added bonus it no longer feels like there is a school of bull sharks fighting over my wedding tackle.

Impressed!
I purchased this shoulder strap padding for my rifle sling. My PCC is heavy especially with all the mods and accessories. My shoulder and neck were getting fatigued over long periods of time. It’s heavier than my AR. So, I searched for something to offer some comfort. Saw these and gave them a shot and wow! They’re SUPER comfy. I bought a few more for my shotties and my AR’s. The only down fall is they’re a little bulky. So I don’t recommend them for any running gun competitions cause it does get in the way. Other than that I really dig them.

Deeply disappointing
I am at a complete loss as to all the glowing reviews on these pads. I bought based on those reviews, and have seldom been so disappointed. Although the pads are nicely constructed, the padding is so soft it squishes down to such an extent with any weight at all applied it is virtually useless. I could not detect any difference vs. just using my existing strap with no padding. I returned the purchase immediately.

Get a pair of these - invest in comfort. They doon't slip and should last long.
Yes, these seem to be great! I was looking for good backpack strap pads that would not slip and so I can carry at least 20 pounds in a less than perfect backpack and also be able to switch between heavy bags or carrying cases without too much discomfort for my shoulders. These have 4 adjustable velcros so the pads stay put on strap. On my first try I carried about 20 pounds in a Osprey Porter backpack for 13 miles with occasional stops for 6 hours. No problem! No discomfort on next day. I previously used this backpack without pads, and it was much less comfortable (but with a heavier load). The only drawback (which seem to be minor) is that the pad can accommodate straps only up to 2-inch wide without bending their edges. Many heavy-duty backpacks will have straps wider than 2 inch. This Osprey Porter had straps just over 2 inch, and they were bent just a little. These pads are a little expensive, but get 2 of them (they are sold singularly) - invest in comfort! They should last long.

Not a panacea but very helpful for a 7# - 10# weight using a crossbody strap
I bought this to use with a Portable Oxygen Concentrator (POC) so I could have both hands free. (I find it a lot easier to manage a crossbody strap than a backpack.) My POC can get up to about 10# if I'm carrying two extra batteries and without some decent padding that gets tiresome after a while. This item is at least as padded as any I've used with messenger and laptop bags over the years and seems well put together. Big plus: it can be transferred from one strap to another, which gives me flexibility to use it with different straps for different purposes. NOTE: bring your own strap, this is a nice pad but it's only a pad.

Meh... still looking for a better option
Purchased to help with over the shoulder straps on a 28 pound Veritas Light AR500 plate carrier. The straps are a little more comfortable with these shoulder pads but not much. They do help keep the buckles off my back and are light enough to not be noticeable. The cushion resilience/resistance is lacking so the padding just collapses under almost any weight and defeats the concept of additional padding. The Velcro straps do provide a little purpose as seen in the photos so I didn’t return them. The tan is actually coyote brown, which is nice.

I have 3 of these, and I don't use them in a Police/Military/hiking application
So great, that I have 3 of these. And I don't use them in a Police/Military/hiking application...I have one on my diaper bag, because honestly, having a son is like going into battle sometimes... having kids in general is like going in to battle... Anyhow, I have that strap setup to hold my car keys, phone, sippy cup (I slide the grips of the hand holders into the loops, holds it perfectly unless I somehow go upside down...).I have 2 other straps setup on my tool bags to hold flashlights and tools. I love these.

which are ever so slightly and arguably better. EXCEPT
I have two Matin M-6486 Curved Design Air Cushion Pads, which are ever so slightly and arguably better. EXCEPT, this is longer, so works better for a larger bag or strap e.g. a larger messenger bag or computer bag or ruck sack, as opposed to a camera or man bag. The cushioning is very good and comes in a range of colours so blends with the strap (which the Mattin doesnt unless your strap is black). It doesnt have the blister grips the Mattin does, so grips (slightly) less well (which has + and -'s, you may want some movement). Maybe, it looks more military like so isnt as formal or smart as the Matin (colour aside), but equally could be more "cool". Excellent product, but it's a toss up with the Matin - if you like the +'s above, go for this, consider the Matin as an alternative or visa versa.....

required for remora
if you have a maxpedition remorra the strap can be uncomfortable on your neck. Ok it is not green but it matches and works very well asa shoulder pad. Yes I would recommend it since it detracts from the symmetry expected from a militant tendency therefore you should not be picked out by the VoPos as being an undesirable as opposed to commiting a fashion faux pas.

No more sore neck
i bought this for a edc bag that has no neck padding to try and stop it rubbing my neck. This did exactly what i wanted and while i agree the padding isnt that thick and probably wont last long it does exactly what i needed while also providing extra molle.
