I guess (although I would have to find a 14 year old to ask the technical question to), that as long as the phone support external charging (there is a setting on the phone), then it will work. Never had wireless charging before. It's quite fast and convenient! Anyone who doesn't find it fast might not have it plugged into a suitable power supply. I bought a 33W supply to go with it, and it works great. I also like the lights - they flash for a short time to indicate if your phone is charging or not, then they go off. So it's not lit up all the time. I think it would be fine in a bedroom.
