I recently purchased this Astro A40 replacement cord with the in-line mute switch, and it’s perfect. First off, the gold 3.5 mm plugs are a nice upgrade over the OEM cable, giving it a sleek, premium look. The cable itself feels sturdy and durable.Sound quality is great. There’s absolutely no difference compared to my original cable. No issues with compatibility either; it was plug-and-play. The length is good. The in-line mute switch works.I’ve always liked that Astro headsets outlast their replaceable components, it’s nice to know that replacement parts like this are easy to find and work perfectly. If your old cord wears out, this is the perfect replacement

First the "mute" button is only a mute while you are pressing it. It would also make an audible squelching in Discord when I did mute and unmite with the button. Product started glitching and sending feedback I to the headphones within a week of starting use, I assume the wiring within the cord is cheap or lose and causing the feedback as well as mic cutting out. Already bought replacement, very disappointed.

Im so glad these are sold here because replacing the whole headset is expensive and this cord is a great price and life saving!!

To me, they're almost completely identical to the stock ones, but I didn't have the stock wire too long before cat chewed thru them. Wire is way long for its own good though.

It works perfectly when it does but after 2 and a half months the audio became spotty unless the cable was held in a certain spot and the mute button you have to hold for it to work, it's not a press to mure.

Cats destroyed in mater of 24 hours. Not sellers fault!

With the price of the product the quality os cheap as it got caught one and heard audio but would not pick up any voice

Seems like its a great quality with being braided and having metal tips. The cord is more durable but its just like the rest of them and broke on me in 2 weeks of having it. The Jack that plugs into the headset its self lost connection inside the wire tubing and I took precautions for this not to happen... oh and the mute button never worked
