I bought the violins because when my husband and I get the “pity, poor, poor, me’s” we serenade each other.

I got these and carried them in my purse waiting for my friend to start doing her "whoa is me" - it was a fun laugh. I've got the other one tucked away for a similar occasion. It is small enough to keep in my small hang-from-the-neck purse.

It may not play but it was good for when my coworker got sad because he spilled his energy drink so I pulled it out and started to “play”

I honestly got this for when employees complain or whine about stuff. Which is all day long. So I hot glued a pin to the violin and bow, put it on my lab coat and anytime I hear “ugh” I start playing it.
