Q: How wide does it open?

You can make it open to 2 inches , but not with one hand it is very strong , it's better than the clamp I had on my Lincoln 225

Q: How would I connect a cable which already has a ring that's 0.1"?

Crimp on a ring of the correct size for the stud.

Q: hello what size is the bolt that holds the eyelet?

The bolt on the clamp is 3/8" as this is a very heavy duty clamp. I added an adapter to go from 3/8" to 1/8" as the bolt on my welder is 1/8".

Q: Are the copper teeth solid or plated?

A magnet sticks to the jaws, stud, and two hex nuts. Definitely not solid copper. Magnet does not stick to the braid between the two jaws. I believe that is solid copper. Still way better than the one that came with my cheap welder, though.
