A young girl declares she's bored, and her father asks what she would rather do if she could do anything at all ("druthers"). Her imagination sails as her dad plays along with the ever-increasing adventures and messy house. Illustrations are engaging and clever as they flip between the real world and imaginative worlds. Wording is concise and clear, easily conveying the messages to the reader.As the father demonstrates love and zeal playing along with his child, the daughter learns that playing with her dad is the best adventure of all. This would be a great gift for a dedicated father, perhaps a fun Father's Day gift. Everyone in our family enjoyed reading it- including our 2 year old boy and 4 year old girl.

I found this book at the library and love it so much that I decided to buy it. It will make a nice gift for my husband from my daughter.

I love this book. It seems simple, but my preschoolers loved it! They can all relate to being stuck inside with seemingly nothing to do. They listened so quietly and attentively that I have to rate this book with 5 stars. Kids will love it!
