simplehuman 16 oz. Pulse Pump, Liquid Soap Dispenser, Drip Free Hand Soap Pump, Brushed Stainless Steel

Initially bought two of these for our bathrooms. The one in our main bathroom, after 1.5 years of extensive but normal use by 2 families, had some issues with the pump mechanism (photo attached). The pump would get stuck in the down position and had some of the coating being scrapped off. Read another review with similar issues and that they used the Simple Human warranty to replace it. This is where the 5 Star comes from - registered my products on the site and you can either file for a warranty claim for the full item or just have a new pump (top part) sent out for free, no questions asked, which is what I did. I respect the company for standing behind its products like this and making the customer experience solid. Just ordered one more for the kitchen.

I love this product. Expensive but worth it. Looks great with my kitchen stainless sinks and silver/black glass backsplash. It is a good weight and easy pump. You can tell it is a well made product.

It looks modern and beautiful, and it worked fine for about a year, but since then the pump won't go back up after pressing down, which is soooo annoying! We've been putting up with it for a while, but I finally couldn't take it anymore and am going to buy a simple one like our other one that we bought cheaply and has worked fine for years. I love Simple Human products, and normally would recommend them (their garbage cans are such good quality and worth the price!) but considering how expensive this pump was, I'm very disappointed in the quality...shakes my belief in the brand.

We purchased this dispenser a couple of years ago and after so much use, I just wanted to leave a positive review. The dispenser has been used multiple times a day for a few years now and has proven to be without fault at all. Others we have used have either clogged up or the pump has given out. It has maintained it's finish throughout and doesn't have a blemish on it. The pump action is still as strong as it was on day one. I would highly recommend it, worth every penny.

Sturdy/weighty. Doesn't tip or slide when you press the pump. Got rid of the one I had because it took two hands, one to hold the dispenser and one to press the pump. Looks great.

Like I said in my trashcan post everything simple human is super easy to use super cute and aesthetically pleasing and very high-quality. I can’t really recommend this brand enough. You won’t really go wrong despite the high price point. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.

It’s a pretty straightforward item. I have two main complaints. It just isn’t that sturdy. The pump is some sort of plastic (not pictured? color me shocked) and it has a small amount of play. It looks like nice plastic, but it annoys me that my “stainless steel” appliance uses the metal mostly for show. I have never had a soap dispenser wear out at the body or the spout. They wear out at the pump and hinge mechanism every single time. And to that point, this pump just doesn’t feel that great; like, I could destroy this with one hand and an angry thought. It’s plated plastic, and that’s what it feels like. It feels okay, but I wanted a generously-engineered tool that my household and guests can use thoughtlessly without worrying me constantly. Despite the look and prices, no simplehuman product has ever done that for me. These are invariably “lifestyle” products. Lesson learned Also, the rubber base has one small divot on each side but the front. So, water can run in any direction but towards the sink. This baffling feature makes the underside constantly damp and scummy, and now I’m looking for a caddy which will surely scratch the steel. It has all the features. The reverse pump thing is pretty cool, if subtle and not quite sufficient, and the action requires little effort. However, these two features serve little practical purpose to me and fill no preexisting need. The dispenser looks very nice with the exception of the simplehuman logo, which looks a bit ridiculous and pretentious on a soap dispenser (the only named dispenser in the house, and it’s even not my favorite one *eyeroll*). It matches my (gifted) paper towel rack and screams fast fashion. This stuff is everywhere in my circles and, frankly, the products do not speak for themselves so I can see why the branding is always prominent Overall annoyed. I spent half this money on a much prettier alternative for my bathroom, and they feel and perform broadly similarly. I just wanted to be able to rail on my soap dispenser, man. I haven’t found a better alternative for the countertop

About two months after purchasing this in November 2023 the pump I found I had to constantly clean the pump head because it would stick. Initially I thought food was getting caught, then I thought it was hard water stains but the more I examined it I noticed these two seams as shown in my picture. I thought the food was getting caught in the seams so I dugged out debris. I think perhaps there was a coating over the seams that wore away. I love Simple Human products, they described this pump in way that led me to believe it was thoroughly tested in a real-world kitchen. I plunked down $50 hoping not to have to buy another one for many years but it failed within two months. Hopefully I'll get a response from Simply Human. I will look into their warranty too, but who has time for reviews and returns? For any product I want to buy the best I can afford and then not have to buy another for a very long time!

Worked nicely at the beginning. Couple of months of use the spring stopped popping up the head , couple of months after the top metal plate glue gave up. For that price expected much much more. Unfortunately goes to the garbage. 70$ for couple of months of use - if you can afford it .... otherwise stay away.
