good value
I purchased two of these and they are pretty bright for an inexpensive 1 led flashlight. Also, these have a long shelf life with good batteries (which were included). I tested the waterproof and floating features, which both work well. Based on the type of led bulb and 2 AA batteries, I don't think it will go 79 hours. Maybe around the 50 hour mark with standard batteries. I will try to test this out the few days with a fresh set of batteries. I am going to use one for boating. I lost a pretty nice flashlight before after dropping it in the water. Looked in the fish finder and it was 65 feet down. On a side note: I purchased these flashlights with rechargeable batteries and a good solar charger for camping. I've had some quality flashlights that fried after a rainstorm. Waterproof is imprtant.

Bright enough for the money.
Nice size and durability. They float and they're waterproof.

Hard to get into but a great flashlight
The flashlight is very powerful for how little it costs, the only problem I had with it was trying to get the dang package open so I could get to the flashlight. Definitely need scissors or a boxcutter if you're planning on getting this.

Good basic flashlight
Just what I was looking for. Sturdy, not too heavy, and simple to use. The price was reasonable compared to some other options. Seems like a good quality flashlight, and I think it will last a while.

would buy again
Great addition to my kayak accessory bag. I attached a 10' line to it with a sinker so even at night can mark an area that has catching promise. The line wraps around it so it can be tossed or quietly placed in the water to mark a fishing hotspot/area.

Good value for emergency flashlight
I bought a few of these as emergency lights. They work well. They are a real bargain for prepping since they work well and are inexpensive, waterproof, floating, and LED with a long battery life. They even have a place to attach a lanyard. Just get these and don't bother with the more expensive flashlights; you won't be disappointed.

Battery life overstated
Looks to be a decent back-up emergency flashlight. Light is bright enough. Lightweight, should float OK. O-ring seals...probably waterproof to some degree. Bright red color stands out. Can attach a lanyard or strap to it. Appears to be meant for light duty, occasional use. Battery run time grossly overstated in listing. Claims 35 hours, but the one I received with the same model number says it's only 20 hours.

No more tactical flashlights for me
Plenty bright. I can throw a beam hundreds of feet which is enough for me. I use it to walk my dog at night. Sturdy. I’ve dropped it several times with no problems. I’ll never buy another tactical flashlight. They eat batteries and you have to cycle through 5 different modes before you can shut them off.

I purchased both Energizer and Dorcy Waterproof Flashlights and this Review is for the Energizer Flashlight and contains some information to compare it with the Dorcy waterproof flashlight. I've broken my review down in two parts. Part 1 is short and focuses only on the Energizer Flashlight. Part 2 is more detailed and compares the Energizer with the Dorcy. *** PART 1: *** The Energizer Waterproof Flashlight is lightweight, waterproof with moderate brightness from one LED and reflector. The price at the time of my review was on sale for $8. The housing has a loop for a hand strap, hook or tether. It comes with batteries. At $8 dollars on sale this is a good basic waterproof flashlight and worth consideration. At a price of $20, I would consider other flashlights that are brighter and better built. *** PART 2 *** I purchased both Energizer and Dorcy Waterproof Flashlights here's how they compare *** Waterproof *** First off both Energizer and Dorcy flashlights are waterproof. They float on the surface and work when submerged. *** Size & Weight *** Both flashlights are similar in size and shape although the Dorcy flashlight weights slightly more. *** Brightness LEDS *** The Dorcy Flashlight has 3 three LEDs while the Energizer has only one LED. The Dorcy flashlight is the clear winner here and is much brighter and illuminates much farther than the Energizer. *** Build Quality - Features *** The Built Quality of the Dorcy Flashlight is better. The Dorcy flashlight feels more substantial and solid when compare to the Energizer which feels lightweight and cheap. The on/off button on the energizer flashlight is harder to press than the energizer. The design and grip of the dorcy flashlight is better and it includes an integrated Spring Loaded Carabiner clip while the energizer has only a loop hook. The winner here again is the Dorcy. *** Price - Value *** At the time of my purchase the Energizer Flashlight was $8 while the Dorcy Flashlight was $12. At the time of my review the Energizer Flashlight is now $20 while the Dorcy is now only $11. At todays current price the Dorcy is a better value. ••• Conclusion ••• Both flashlights are waterproof, float and work well when submerged in water. At $11 the Dorcy Flashlight is not only Brighter, Stronger, More Durable and has a carabiner clip but it's $9 dollars cheaper than the current price of the Energizer. This makes the Dorcy flashlight a better value and all things considered the one I would recommend and buy again. here is the link to the Dorcy flashlight on amazon https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B0039PV1QK/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I bought one of these flashlights to have on hand in the event of a power outage. The reason I picked this one is because it takes just 2 AA batteries which we always have a supply of. No need for D batteries or disc batteries which we never have on hand.

Used this a few times the past few months. Super bright light, great to navigate in the dark.

Disappointed that the flashlight is so small. Expected a much bigger flashlight.
