Great fan
It looks great, it works great, it is quiet, it has a remote and 3 light settings, what more could you want from a fan?

Silent
Pretty easy to install. Very quiet, near silent. Remote is a bit bulky but comes with a wall mount which is nice. Would love for it to hold 3 bulbs but still puts out ample lightCouple notes- Fan comes prewired with like 3ft of lead for the wires, way more than needed. Slide the receiver box in before connecting the wires, trim the fan leads, then connect them. It will all fit cleanly in the j box.- If mounting on a sloped ceiling figure out your slope first. You might need a longer down rod and this fan only comes with a short rod.- If you're replacing just a light with this light/fan combo, you must change out the light switch to a standard toggle if your current one is a dimmer unless you have 12/3 wiring.

Great product for a fabulous price
I was very pleased with the high quality of the product. The install was easy, but the directions were not very clear (thus 4 stars for install). I am diy gal so I was able to figure it out. Since my fan was not wired to a switch I wanted a new one with a remote. This fit the bill and price and style really sold it for me.Highly recommend.

Doesn’t move an inch
Put this up over a weekend. I did all the wiring and ended up drilling a hole in the cover to add a wall plug (we have an outlet on our ceiling, thank you 70s!), but everything was pretty easy with the instructions. I gave it 4 stars for installation because it was hard to get the box and wires up in the top then turn that piece enough to secure it. Now that it’s up it’s sturdy, works great and looks much better than what was there.I also took off a star from the overall because we had to replace the screws that came with the mounting hardware - we had to drill this into a piece of solid wood and the provided screws got crushed/snapped like they were made of tin.

Good product good price
I went to the two major home improvement stores in my area looking for 3 black remote control ceiling fans with lights. I could not find any under $100. even on clearance. I ordered three of these and my son installed them. They are exact ally what I wanted. I would recommend them to anyone who is looking for a nice ceiling fan at a really good price.

Install is difficult as mentioned in other reviews
First the nice things. Quiet, moves a *lot* of air, can use incandescent/CF/LED standard base bulbs. Not sure if you can dim any but LED (I got two and they dim, but.....)Now the not so nice things. The mounting for the fan blades was designed by a sadist. There is an access slot in the bottom of the light mount area that you can rotate the fan motor/blade mounting area around to allow access. This is *very* annoying to work with. If you want to test this unit before you button everything up, you *must* have the light unit at least plugged in otherwise, all I got was the relay click from the included remote control box.Speaking of the remote, an earlier reviewer said don't use two in close proximity - I concur, but you can fix it. On both the relay box and the remote is a little 4 switch block (red color in mine with white switches) and you can mix/match these to come up with a custom code for this particular fan. Exampe - they are all *on* by default. I went on/off/off/on and suddenly it stopped making my other next room over fan turn on/off, dim, etc.The mounting bracket is sturdy, but if you have any degree of tilt on your ceiling, you will have problems running the wires. The included wires for the fan are extra long, unless you have 20' ceilings and are using an extremely long drop pole. I went ahead and trimmed mine to give me about 10" of length instead of about 40" of length. I was happy, since the area to hide your wires is very compact.Ok, enough whining. Here is what I eventually puzzled out was the best order of install for me. Your mileage may vary. After unboxing, get the fan mounting bracket attached to your ceiling. I was replacing an existing single speed fan, so this was pretty easy. MAKE SURE THAT YOUR HOUSE WIRING IS NOT IN THE BRACKET PROPER. Mine is, and it caused a major headache. Since you will be shoving the remove control unit into the area within that bracket later, you want/need as much space in there as possible. If your wiring drops down anywhere up to an inch outside of the bracket itself, you will be able to wire nut to the control unit and still hide the wires.Firstly, assemble the blades. Diagram in instructions. Take the man fan body, and set so the place where the light will mount later is facing you/facing up. You will now need to unscrew the little machine screws on the rotating bit *just underneath the big plate* There is a small access area cut out to allow this. This is where I began to suspect that a sadist designed this fan. It was confirmed later in the install. Install all 5 blades, and then install the light unit. This is MUCH easier to do when its on the ground. There is a plastic connector that has to be connected between the fan body and the light assembly - line it up by the colors on the side of both pieces. Once connected you can use the three screws to attach the lights to the fan Do not worry about installing the bulbs or glass at this stage. Turn the fan unit back, so that the light unit is now on the ground, and you can see the fan body mounting hole at the top with the wires running out of it.Take the main fan unit and attach the wire cover (round white bowl looking thing with a hole in the bottom) over the drop pole mount on the fan body. Thread the 3 wires through the pole and then pin the pole to the fan with the little cotter pin. Trim the over long wires to give yourself about 10" from the top (black plastic end) of the drop pole. Use the smaller wire nuts to connect the control unit wires to the wires coming from the fan. These are all color coded so pretty easy. Now is the time to chance the remote code on the unit if you suspect you might have a conflict. Easy way to check is take the remote, install a battery and see if anything you already have installed reacts to it. If so, change it on the remote and fan until you find a combination that is unique. Now the very fun part. While standing on a wobbly ladder, chair, etc. lift this whole unwieldy unit and put the little black ball top into the mounting bracket. These is a spot on the bracket that lines up with a notch on the ball to stop the unit from shifting around. You'll know if when the ball sinks slightly, and then feels a lot more sturdy. You will need to pick a spot between blades so you see everything, and they will spin around and hit you. Get used to this. For wiring to you existing house wiring - I am not an electrician, but pretty sure that the color code on the remote unit is for somewhere other than the US. Thankfully, 2 of the three required wires *did* match my house wiring thus leaving the remaining one pretty obvious. I am *not* specifying this as if you don't KNOW which wires should connect to the house wiring, find a friend/professional who *DOES* know. Getting zapped with house current while on a ladder is no fun, and I don't want someone to claim I gave them bad advice. All I am giving advice on is how to assemble and physically mount the fan - electrical work is on your own, except for the pretty simple match the control wires to the same color wires from the fan - since they won't be energized at the time, can't see how you can hurt yourself. You will place the remote control relay box with the little dangling wire (antenna) in the bracket once its wired in. This is where the sadism was confirmed - if the drop ball is in any orientation other than level, the space is snug if not damn near impossible to put it in. I managed it, but there were some ominous cracking sounds from the control relay plastic housing.Once you have connected house power wires to the control unit, then you can enable power to it. Take your remote and you want to test that you can turn on/off the fan, and by screwing in a bulb or two, you can also check the lights. Once everything is working as needed, you can take the bowl that is hanging loose at the bottom of the drop pole and attach it to the bracket to hide your collection of wire nuts and the remote box.The last thing I had to do was install the bulbs, and then the glass plate. A little fiddling around let me discover the three spots that hold the glass are slightly knurled, and will spin out to give room to install the glass. Once its in place, spin them the other way to secure the glass.Success!TL:DR - get someone else to do this for you. Pay them money, beer and pizza, firstborn children, or whatever coin they will accept. While this is a nice fan and works fine for me, it took me the better part of 3 hours, and several trips up and won the ladder before I got it in place and working.

Great!
works really good, be careful if you buy several of them read the first page to make sure you program them so one remote doesnt change all of the fans

Flickers, doesn’t spin counter clockwise, must use remote
I had a few issues with this fan:The light flickered often— not always, but often (I triple checked the connections; they were perfect). The default direction of the fan was clockwise. When I tried to switch it to counter clockwise, the fan no longer spun at all. Just didn’t work. You HAVE to use the remote to turn the fan on and off. I recently installed other fans in my house and, with those, even if the light is off when I flip the switch down, it’ll turn it back on when I switch it on. This fan does not do that. Not a deal breaker, but annoying. The fan and remote are pretty old school in appearance. It’s bulkier than it looks in the pictures. Again, not a deal breaker— I just didn’t love it.The only positives are that the installation process isn’t any harder than any other fan and the reversible blades are cool.I returned this. I do not recommend anyone else purchase it.
