Great pot!
This pot is great for stews, soup and dishes that are too large for a regular pot. It's easy to clean also. I'm glad I bought it.

Heavy enough to be a sturdy pot without being super heavy. Exactly what I was looking for!!

Very satisfied.
I gave it a 4 on easy to clean because the bottom looks all scratched up and I it cleaned with a soft sponge. When stirring we used a wooden spoon and served with ladle but looks beaten.

May as well not have a lid
I was looking for a quality 5qt pot to replace my poor pot I bought in 1992. It need to have a lid that did not vent however. I know the reason for a vent hole is so the lid doesn't rattle but none of my lids to that so I wasn't concerned. However, I have a lot of dishes that have to simmer for a while and a vent I felt would let out the liquid I wanted to keep in. Hubby was looking for a pot for me and was excited to find this one. It had a heavy duty bottom that looked like it would give good heat distribution, polished steel for easy clean up, riveted handles I thought might last a long time versus welded, and according to the pictures, no vent hole on the lid. I voiced concern the pour spout might let out steam but thought the rim of the lid would surely be deep enough to close that off right? No. The lid in fact does have a vent hole and the pour spout is *not* closed off when the lid is on.I have this item 3 stars because the pictures did not show the vent hole, and the rim of the lid did not close off the spout or have a varying area on the rim that allowed for it to have the option to close off the spout from allowing steam to escape. If this is not a concern for you however, I would definately recommend this pot. I love the heavy bottom. I cook on a coil burner stove and have trouble with thin bottom pots having cool and hot areas. The weight is just right and the handles are a nice size for holding onto as well as tight to the pot, not loose or wiggly.
